My Dad in 55. So upsetting he didn't go in 56. Big fail.So far we’ve got two posters who went in 1949 which is earlier than I expected.
Did anyone attend the 1955 or 56 cup finals?

First home game of the season skipp Tony Book missed a penalty also midweek game if I remember.Franny Lee penalty king signed few months later from Bolton.Dippers at home in August 67 score 0 0
I remember that night. We had to wait for the score from the bloke who put the scores up for the full time result between villa and WBA29th April 1959. City 3 Leicester 1. Joe Hayes equalised, and Billy McAdams & Ray Sambrook scored the others. Last game of the season and City had to win to stay in the old Div 1. A night I'll never forget - as a young lad the sheer size of Maine Road under the lights was something else and the crowd was deafening. A road map for my life was written that night. I was hooked.

I remember that (well, I remember that I was there). Sat on the slope of the wall over one of the Kippax tunnels. My first was certainly not the earliest on here but quite interesting. 2nd May 1960 to see Burnley win the league with a crowd of 65,981. Burnley won 2-1 and won the league by 1 point.
If that's the game I'm thinking of, no-one even knew why he wasn't playing!Boxing Day 1964 v Bury 0:0 memory is the crowd protesting about Dave Wagstaff being sold
