I loved Early Doors and The Royle Family. I hope they don't bollocks it up like they did with the Royle Family, when they abandoned subtle, well observed humour in favour of a farce.

Dave, I couldn't agree more. Two fantastic programs, but unfortunately The Royle Family was ruined. You just know everyone involved in the last few programs must be embarrassed at what they've done to a true classic.
Don't spoil Early Doors! If you cant do it justice, dont bother.

The grandma's inhaler gets me everytime, woooo!
It was an excellent series, my dad recorded all the episodes on tape but seeing as video players are non-existant anymore I cannae watch 'em.

What makes this show is the fact that for everybody who watches it and loves it we can all see ourselves early doors in a Manchester boozer nipping in for a pint on the way home............ fond memories of the Crown on Long Street Middleton late 80's early 90's for me ahhhhhhh Early Doors.......................
