As for Bale, yes I believe he's packing his bags to move to Man City, especially if we miss out on CL, but Levy will tell him to unpack them unless we receive an absolutely ludicrous offer. The wages he is on and length of his contract means that we have very little incentive to sell him. He wants out though imho.

Idk if you can get Bale, it depends what is on offer and DL will play hardball saying 'our best players are not for sale.' Bale wants to leave though imo.

I would say that spurs are out. He is simply too expensive, too big wages and too many top clubs chasing him.

Same with United. Hence, Fergie complaining about our spending. But the papers will always want to make a transfer saga, and make it look like many clubs are in for him. Sells papers, i don't think all the united fans would be very interested in Hazard if they only reported about Hazard to City.

And i don't think we want Bale. Good player but i don't think he suits our current style. Hazard does.

The reason why is we can't get replacements of similar quality for the wages that Bale and Modric are on. We have money to spend this window without having to let anyone go if we make CL. Levy anticipated Harry getting the England job so didn't give him money to spend and we went for stop gaps instead. I think Harry will be sacked at the end of the season and we'll give a new manager money to spend.
