He denied Cahill as well. Don't read into anything AVB says to the media.
I try to ignore him completely, it's like his voice is made out of gravel
With all the time he spends leaping around the technical area shouting, it isn't surprising.

The latest update regarding Hazard
@garbosj
Ian McGarry

Hazard wants to join #CFC in Jan. Lille want him to stay until summer. Possible fee has been dicussed but no agreement yet. Still time.

Chelsea could sign Messi and Ronaldo but they aren't catching us this season. It's inevitable they will come back strong soon enough so no surprise they are splashing the cash, wouldn't be surprised if they have Cavani, Hazard, and Gotze next season - but so many new faces may need a settling in period so they might not be truly top notch again till the 2013/2014 season (fingers crossed).

they have a smaller stadium than us and no players of re-sellable value (that they want to get rid of). They won't be bringing in 3 players like that in one summer.

The papers reckon Roman has sanctioned a monster spending spree (£150million) for this window and the next. Roman seems ambivalent about FFPR but even with a small stadium they have good revenue from being big abroad. £210million revenue compared to our £125million in the last financial year and they're getting rid of a lot of high earners too like Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, and probably others.

They're gonna have to secure 4th first, and even then there's no way they bring in 100m+ worth of talent in one window. FFP suicide.

FIFA don't have the balls to sanction abramovich. He is a shady character with more than enough contacts in FIFA to make sure nothing happens to chelsea.

2 50 goal a season players? I think we'd overtake you comfortably in that case. :P

How is it you know more about this transfer than we do? I'm not convinced it'll happen myself. I think we'll get Willian.

Most things are known on here. I used to use Wikipedia. Should've seen the hits on bluemoon when they took it down the other day.

I have to disagree with this, Abramovich was one of the main advocates of the FFPR in the 1st place and Chelsea have just become self sufficient in the 1st year of "Observation". if they show an upward trend and then a massive downward trend they are ripe for the ban stick.

Why would he not support FFPR? What FFPR do is to make it impossible for any other team to invest heavy in their squads in order to compete, it will secure City/chelsea dominans for years

But they are openly flouting FFP - it´s so obvious and all after that Rusky coont went whinging to Platini
Come on City - what´s good for the fookin goose - not having this !

Even if you signed them both you're 13pts behind us so you'd have to win every single remaining game this season (not a given, even Real and Barca don't and with all due respect, they have better starting 11s than Chelsea at the minute) while at the same time we'd have to lose 5 games in our last 16 fixtures... don't see that! Next season would be a different prospect but my point is, Chelsea could sign 11 of the best players in the world right now and I still don't think they'd have a prayer of winning the league this season.

Haha I'm not going to take offence to that fact. It'd become painfully obvious how far ahead Barca/Madrid are to Chelsea if/when we meet them in the CL anyhow.

I personally expect us to finish 3rd. Underperformed far too much. But if you think this title wont throw some surprises at you before the end, well, prepare to be surprised. :)

Eden Hazard: "With all respect to Chelsea, I'd rather join a club with history such as Liverpool or Arsenal."

I think we've lost the kid.....
