Funny you should mention him; recently the FA found this hither to unseen footage of Manson’s goalkeeping trial at Leeds in the 1970s.

One thing I do love is how commentators, the ex pro's especially, still get awestruck by his skill.

Savage always raves about it, and Lee Dixon said he was "Bergkamp with gloves on" tonight.

I don't think there's been a better passer of the ball between the sticks in my life time. I'm 33, but i'd be surprised if there's been one ever in the history of the game. He's better than Neuer at it, by some way IMO. Stegen too.

Said on Twitter it was like watching a nonchalant Pirlo passing it about.

ter Stegen is definitely pretty 2 footed and capable of making most passes with both feet.

Eddy has accuracy at range that ter Stegen could only dream of though. Because he can hit the opposition box when he gives it everything, he's got so much control in passes that "only" go 10m into the opposition half.
 
Back in the day of watching isaksson and James I could never dream we would have a keeper that does no look passes for fun
 
I could imagine him as a decent CB I really could.
Most talented keeper I’ve ever seen in my life using his feet.
Wouldn’t swap him for anyone in the world simply as that.
 
I keep hearing that Allison is this fantastic goalkeeper thats cool with the ball at his feet, yet when I watched the miseryside derby on Sunday he just did short balls out the box got it back and hoofed it up field, no cutting edge play from the back that turned into attack just standard boot up field to try and find a shadow that used to be No Salad . Eddie is a unique player almost a one off I cannot imagine him in any other team, it just wouldn't work who was the person that identified Eddie as being the fit ? That person needs a pay rise !

Had a brief look on YouTube but nothing on there.

It's funny that when he leaves/retires, his legacy will be a highlight reel of unbelievable passes and taking the piss out of opposition players rather than any of his saves.
