Come on Brazilian press where's the fucking leaks? :-)
The OctopusFernando was so shit. Shocking player like Javi Garcia.
Pedro del dinho from el copacabana beach news is saying it done!!Come on Brazilian press where's the fucking leaks? :-)
No. I just think differently sometimes.Do you just enjoy emitting absurdities on here?
Fernandinho didn't get benched he was injured. Gündogan did a superb job at filling in for him, but that was what he did. Fernandinho were a huge part of why that 17-19 team were so good.No. I just think differently sometimes.
Sure,we dont currently have our superstar DM. But the reason why we suck (outside of general aging) is NOT because we don't have our DM. Rather its because we don't have our Superstar player who just happens to be s DM.
We shouldn't confuse the 2. What we need is an infusion of superb talent in Central Midfield, not some specialized steel at the specific position our a superstar plays. Unless most forget, Rodri himself is no Nigel De Jong. He is just special at so many things put together and understands Pep's vision almost perfectly.
Ederson is an inferior Bruno Giimaraes with far worse range and a bit more tackle in him. If you think what we need is a DM with steel, you have an unbelievable misunderstanding of what makes us tick.
For those who have liked your post, let me explain, it is what we do in possession that is the key to our greatness. What we do out of possession is only secondary to that point, and really a failure in our possession csnnot be solved with more tackling.
Our game for better or worse is predicated on our possession. The best players at doing that, are the best fits for us period!!!
Some decent player who's a great tackler may improve us in the short run because of our ,aging core, but long-term and when our superstar returns will be a general detriment. We may potentially slow walking into the next Kalvin Phillips with the kind of thinking im seeing.
Whoever we get should be able to play with or next to Rodri when he returns. A bonafide star. In my mind, its bot Rodri we are looking for, its Bernardo/Gundogan at their peak.
What Ederson steikes me as ( and i could be off here) is a Brazilian Kalvin Phillips. And I'm simply not that excited about that
I want the Dutch Gundo/Bernardo mix. People forget at hos peak Gundonbenched Fernandihno at the 6 position in a title run-in. Thats the vision of who i am puning for... A superb 8 who can play 6 in a pinch.
But to each there own.
Nope, your facts are wrong. If you are injured you are out of the squad. If you sre on the bench and come in sometimes to add steel in midfield or cover at RB but aren't starting at your normal position you used to start in, that is the definition of being benchedFernandinho didn't get benched he was injured. Gündogan did a superb job at filling in for him, but that was what he did. Fernandinho were a huge part of why that 17-19 team were so good.
Also disagreed with everything else, but opinions are opinions.
Have you seen our bench this season? If you are injured you can definitely still be in the squad.Nope, your facts are wrong. If tou are injured tou are out of the squad. If you sre on the bench and come in sometimes to add still in midfield or cover at RB but arent starting at your position you used to start in, that is the definition of being benched
He went down Gundogan took over and did so well that when Dihno returned, he returned ro the bench snd never re assumed the 6 position. Gundo played it out.
I said nothing about whether Dihno whether played a huge part or not, so that's an irrelevant assertion.
The point is to highlight the type of player that we need in light of how we play. A report likened Ederson to Gatusso. Can someone please tell me who Gattuzzo would have benched in the treble winning side? I mean we know its not Rodri, so Bernado? Gundogan? Kev?
I too like those intense cover every blade tackling machine types. But i simply recognize its not what makes Man City tick. We are not Atletico Madrid. Some players who would be spectacular for them will be average gor us.
I.
I can tell you you are off. Ederson is NOT a Brazilian Kalvin Phillips. Go watch the Atalanta games vs, Liverpool and Leverkusen in last year's Europa League and then tell me he's a Kalvin Phillips...No. I just think differently sometimes.

Agsin, this doesn't tell the whole story:Have you seen our bench this season? If you are injured you can definitely still be in the squad.
But Fernandinho weren't. He was injured
Outside of Fulham where he was eased back he started evey game he was available in. Even squeezed starts out of him against Spurs and United

The Leed's Phillips not ours. :)I can tell you you are off. Ederson is NOT a Brazilian Kalvin Phillips. Go watch the Atalanta games vs, Liverpool and Leverkusen in last year's Europa League and then tell me he's a Kalvin Phillips...
Defo not ours...I don't think KP ever got around the pitch like Ederson does tho...even at Leeds...Agsin, this doesn't tell the whole story:
Again this started at Newcastle. Before that game Diyno was the unquestioned starter. We lost 2-1 and Dihno couldn't play the next game ( accumulated yellow or a strain, cant remember) Gundo came in and we beat Arsenal and the football was scintillating. We mauled them.
From that point on Gundo assumed the mantle of starting DM with Dihno being the DM that started smaller games or joined Gundo in midfield in big games.
Normally when healthy Dihno simply replaced the reaerve Gundo. But in the next match against Everton, he simply joined Gunso as a double pivot and also against Chemsea.
At that point Gundo was the key starter. In the next match against Newport, Gundo was rested and Dihno started. 4 days later in the more important Chsmpions league game Gundo started at DM with and Dijno was moved to CB
Then in the EFL cup, Gundo was rested and Dihno started. Then in the important league game 3 gays later again Gundo is DM. And he plays the next 3 league games as we chase down Liverpool and the team is humming. At that point, he was the undisputed starter. Dihno was the auxiliary mid when healthy.
The Leed's Phillips not ours. :)
