I'm sure eddy will go on to smash all records as a keeper at city but at the moment Joe gets my vote and thanks for being there when it all began
Peak Hart shits all over Ederson in terms of ‘saves’.
Imo Ederson is pretty average when using that criteria.
However, he is exceptional as a ‘keeper sweeper’ and with his distribution. 2 things Hart was average at.
Ederson ‘fits’ this team, and Pep’s style much, much better.
But if I needed a goalkeeper to ‘save’ something it’d be peak Hart every time.
Good summary. Peak Hart was incredible as a shot stopper and one of the best there’s been at one on one. Barcelona away 1-0 loss and spurs away 0-0 (I think) were his stand out games. In the first he single handedly kept Messi out half a dozen times. Could have been a cricket score. The latter he made 4 or 5 full length Worldy saves.
Ederson is just cool as fuck.
Joe was immense back in the day and before most keepers reach their peak. He hit a bit of a downward spiral a few years back and his limitations are now there for all to see. Ed and old joe are neck and neck except off the ground and thats the key these days.Good summary. Peak Hart was incredible as a shot stopper and one of the best there’s been at one on one. Correct, you win both with the team supporting you.
Other than shot stopping & 1v1, what exactly was Joe good at ?
For me:
command of the box was weak
Catching was non existent
Flapping / wafting, I'll grant you
Distribution - appalling
Ball skills at his feet - none
So, rather trying to be witty, why not have a go at answering the question. I look forward to seeing what you think Joe was good atI’ll take this with a whopping pinch of salt, coming from someone who sang Bravo’s praises a year after everyone with eyesight gave up.

LolGoalkeeping that's an easy one.
The best shot stopper City have ever had in my opinion was Tony Coton, he was incredible and was very unlucky not to play for England. Ederson is the best all round keeper we have ever had. When Pep leaves I believe Ederson will be the first player he will attempt to sign for his new club as he is so important to the style he plays.

So, you are not able to answer for yourself - that tells me everythingI’ll tell you what. Read the thread and you’ll get the gist from a range of posters.
Tip: break your habit and extract head from Pep’s rectum first.

I have no idea why you wanted to bump this thread other than to stir shit. As you are not willing to answer the question posed (you seem to prefer to hide behind other people), I will let you move on to see if you can find someone who gives a fuck.I’ll go easy on you because you provided months of good entertainment on the Bravo thread.
