The big difference between Ederson and say Cucurella is that Ederson is arguably in the top three keepers in the world especially if you are a team that wants to play football from the back. Costa would be too expensive and wouldn’t move to be a back up (if that’s what you are suggesting?)Could we look for a younger version of Eddy but a better shot-stopper? Say a Diogo Costa perhaps?

Hope he stays, i know it's a lot of money but throwing his career away at such a young age for a keeper is criminal.

Maybe you should read earlier discussions because plenty like me think Ortega edges it in terms of actual goalkeeping and fewer red mists.
