If he's already agreed to a move then his head is out the door - meaning, as per City's MO, he can go but only if the right offer comes in. If it doesn't, he stays and gets on with it.

However, if Pep was already leaning to starting last season (according to rumours) with Ortega as number 1 - never mind this season - then Ortega committing to a new deal while Ederson has been talking to Saudi clubs might have made Pep's 2024/25 season mind up for him.
