Edin Dzeko and RVP compared

Dzeko broke records in Bundesliga and is breaking records in PL (goals per minute). Pretty sure it's not a fluke, no matter how you look at it. The guys is a top striker, and grossly underrated by a lot of folks.

But he does have a shite first touch, and we play with no width. Two factors that assuredly make him horse shit.
yup
Since when has a shit striker outscored RVP?

Remember his goals are all from open play which makes this even more impressive

Mancini rightly pinned his colours to Aguero as he complements our team, but maybe we'd have been better off this season playing Dzeko and playing with more width. But you need one playing style and it's been just bad luck that Aguero has been injured and then suffered though the loss of form of his strike partner Tevez

Next year without Mancini we could line up like this with limited outlay.

Aguero Dzeko Sanchez

---------Silva

-------Song Yaya

Clichy Nastacic Kompany Zabaleta

----------Hart

So 2 new players from Barca, who don't get a game.

The two players we offload to make space are Tevez and Nasri.

For me that team looks much more dynamic. And yes Dzeko would score a hatful.

2 ways to get the most out of Dzeko:

1. Keep him in the center. He should do everything he can to avoid moving out onto the wing which is a habit of his. He has not pace or dribbling ability. We need him in the middle to receive crosses.
2. Sign a proper winger (like Bale) to give him the type of service he need, crosses. Milner makes a good make shift winger for now, but we need a better winger in the summer.
So basically everything that involves him not touching the ball outside the box? Works for me.
Or evidently inside the box that involves anything other than poking it in the general direction of goal. Or something. It's hard to keep track. Some here change their criteria when it suits them.

You can make it sound as bad as you want. That's the type of player he is.
He's the club's top scorer so he's doing something right isn't he?

Fifty.50.FIFTY wingers?

what i mean to say is that they play with wingers and pump the ball into the box constantly 24/7 which is how dzeko likes playing. if dzeko was in uniteds setup he would score just as many goals.

is that how Arsenal played ? cos he did ok there also

Erm do u watch football. walnut assisted most of rvps goals from the wide position and song lobing balls into the box. so yes they kinda play like man u but with more variation. Unlike united where they only play with wingers. that's why hes scoring more goals.

Bad? No, as I state frequently, I like Dzeko. It's some of his fans I could do without.

No it doesn't.

Yes, it does, unless you have some revolutionary math knowledge, lol

Ill keep harping back to this. So Le Fondre having a better goals per minute than RVP means he scores more goals??

No, he doesn't, he just scored them more often by being on the pitch than van Persie. Pretty simple and basic stuff, tbh.

Saying that, van Persie is better player than both Dzeko and Le Fondre but he's no where near as good as lot of frustrated City fans with lack of self respect think while wanking about him all day and night.

Kun is untouchable on this forum. no matter how fukin shit he plays all the blame will be diverted from kun to dzeko. simple as.

-- Wed Feb 13, 2013 10:45 pm --

There you go. No it doesn't. Post the top ten goals per minute strikers. It's not really a worthwhile stat.
