Erm do u watch football. walnut assisted most of rvps goals from the wide position and song lobing balls into the box. so yes they kinda play like man u but with more variation. Unlike united where they only play with wingers. that's why hes scoring more goals.

Walnut? What sort of shit, yankee-soccer insult is that?

Ill keep harping back to this. So Le Fondre having a better goals per minute than RVP means he scores more goals??

No, he doesn't, he just scored them more often by being on the pitch than van Persie. Pretty simple and basic stuff, tbh.

Saying that, van Persie is better player than both Dzeko and Le Fondre but he's no where near as good as lot of frustrated City fans with lack of self respect think while wanking about him all day and night.

There you go. No it doesn't. Post the top ten goals per minute strikers. It's not really a worthwhile stat.

It's not worthwhile only to those that have decided it's not worthwhile to them. It's worthwhile to everyone else with half brain as City would be out of top 4 without worthwhile Dzeko's stats and United would only edge City without worthwhile ChihchiMichi's ones while Reading would easily be bottom of the league without Le Fondre's ones...

Tbh, I'm idiot discussing this stuff with you at all. Some shit doesn't deserve discussion and should be left to stink to those that are spouting it, it's what they want anyway. And certainly what they deserve.

Hes our 3rd choice striker, maybe rightly so but the fact he is still our leading scorer should tell you that he is a player we need now and need to keep. Horses for courses and all that. The goat was shit but christ could he score when given service. Just accept Dzeko for what he is, an unpredictable inconsistent goal machine.

I'm glad someone else is mature enough to admit that shit players can actually be fantastic.
Everyone seems so convinced by their love for City than Goater was one of the best strikers we've had, he wasn't he was basically Dzeko. Barely even a footballer, but knew where the net was and found it regularly.
And don't think I'm just talking shit about Goater, because he's one of my favourite City players ever.

Another fucking useless stat. Where would teams be without a certain player. Why?? Would the team say Swansea play with 10 men if they didnt have Michu? Bobbins.

Post the top ten strikers goals per minute. If its a worthwhile stat it would show that Van Persie will score more goals in a season than Le Fondre where in fact it shows the opposite. Anyone who believes Le Fondre would score as many as RVP if both were on the pitch the same amount of minutes needs there head testing. This stat backs that up. Therefore if you believe this stat is a worthwhile stat then you can't have much of a clue.

Since when has a shit striker outscored RVP?

Remember his goals are all from open play which makes this even more impressive

Mancini rightly pinned his colours to Aguero as he complements our team, but maybe we'd have been better off this season playing Dzeko and playing with more width. But you need one playing style and it's been just bad luck that Aguero has been injured and then suffered though the loss of form of his strike partner Tevez

Sorry but how has he outscored RVP??
See the original post, he scores more goals per minute played than RVP

Dzeko just to emphasise has 12 League goals from 11 League starts and several late sub appearances. RVP has 19 but from 23 starts. And RVP is pretty much a player who if he's not scoring does not make much of a contribution to the team

That doesn't mean out scoring by any means.

I know who you meant, man. Just a tad childish, y'know...

Anyway, I'm with johnmc, this goals per minutes stat is meaningless. If I'm not mistaken Mladen Petric is on the list up there with Dzeko, you gonna tell me he's better than Aguero & Tevez too?

Dzeko is on the bench because the Italian thinks two midgets up top, trying to walk the ball at granny speed through a tighter stuffed defense than a fat guy in a bakery, will succeed.

If at first you don't succeed...

Einstein defined insanity "repeating the same thing - expecting a different result."

50 wingers and now midgets, do you 2 know each other ? that italian manager started Dzeko over Tevez Arsenal at home, Madrid at home Ajax home and away dortmund at home, how did we get on ?

Could you list all the games Aguero and Tevez have started and not scored?

Which proves what? That they are shit?

The logic of driftwood.

Aguero's shit? ffs.

what i mean to say is that they play with wingers and pump the ball into the box constantly 24/7 which is how dzeko likes playing. if dzeko was in uniteds setup he would score just as many goals.

is that how Arsenal played ? cos he did ok there also

you are trying to tel people Dzeko is as good as Van Persie and you ask me if i watch football lol, the answer is yes i watch a lot i dont read stats that tel me john oshea was once uniteds most effective striker, just ask yourself if you asked EVERY SINGLE manager and player in the premier league who is the better player I'm not joking i think the answer would be 100% Van Persie, 100% now thats some stat
