Hes our 3rd choice striker, maybe rightly so but the fact he is still our leading scorer should tell you that he is a player we need now and need to keep. Horses for courses and all that. The goat was shit but christ could he score when given service. Just accept Dzeko for what he is, an unpredictable inconsistent goal machine.

I'm glad someone else is mature enough to admit that shit players can actually be fantastic.
Everyone seems so convinced by their love for City than Goater was one of the best strikers we've had, he wasn't he was basically Dzeko. Barely even a footballer, but knew where the net was and found it regularly.
And don't think I'm just talking shit about Goater, because he's one of my favourite City players ever.

The only difference is that Dzeko is considered one of best strikers and there's probably a handful number of teams that would not like to have him while I don't think that was the case with Goater.

It's pathetic how some City fans are degrading Dzeko "he was basically Dzeko, barely even footballer"... what a load of shite.

Kevin Phillips' goal per minutes record in his last season at Birmingham probably made Dzeko's look shit tbh, does that mean anything?

The fact is, with Kun & Carlos underperforming, Dzeko should have taken his chances efficiently and a truly quality striker would have double his goals so far this season.

-- Wed Feb 13, 2013 8:00 pm --

You wouldn't know shit about Shaun Goater! He gave his all for this club and didn't look a complete **** while he played. Dzeko's in this for himself like a good chunk of our squad right now, and quite frankly should be doing more than he is.

I'm sick of people bracketing the Goat with Dzeko.

Striker stats

Includes Dzeko in Wolfsburg, Balotelli in Inter & Aguero in Atletico Madrid.

Conclusions?

I love Dzeko, don't think I'm talking him down.
I'm talking about his technical ability. He's slow, lazy, a poor dribble etc.
But that's what a lot of players are like, but he still scores goals.
Please don't think I'm saying Dzeko is shit all around, I mean technically.

Double his goals how he hardly gets the ball... he gets like 1-3 shots per game on goal.

By the way, when I'm comparing Dzeko to the Goat I'm talking solely about his style of play.
Realistically this club doesn't mean a whole lot to Dzeko, while Goater loved the club, and everyone loved him.
If I was choosing between the two it's be the Goat just because of his passion on the pitch.

Probably because he bottles a lot of a his chances. He wastes far more chances than he takes.

Like I've said, I'm not sticking up for Kun & Carlos because both have underperformed but at least they have excuses. Dzeko has consistently played like a moose, and while he's done a job on occasion he should've done far better than he has.

There you go. No it doesn't. Post the top ten goals per minute strikers. It's not really a worthwhile stat.

It's not worthwhile only to those that have decided it's not worthwhile to them. It's worthwhile to everyone else with half brain as City would be out of top 4 without worthwhile Dzeko's stats and United would only edge City without worthwhile ChihchiMichi's ones while Reading would easily be bottom of the league without Le Fondre's ones...

Tbh, I'm idiot discussing this stuff with you at all. Some shit doesn't deserve discussion and should be left to stink to those that are spouting it, it's what they want anyway. And certainly what they deserve.

Another fucking useless stat. Where would teams be without a certain player. Why?? Would the team say Swansea play with 10 men if they didnt have Michu? Bobbins.

Post the top ten strikers goals per minute. If its a worthwhile stat it would show that Van Persie will score more goals in a season than Le Fondre where in fact it shows the opposite. Anyone who believes Le Fondre would score as many as RVP if both were on the pitch the same amount of minutes needs there head testing. This stat backs that up. Therefore if you believe this stat is a worthwhile stat then you can't have much of a clue.

whatever, as I said it's stupid discuss this stuff with you guys. I like City a lot so can't really want Dzeko to leave but he wouldn't do half bad thing to leave some of City moron fans and move somewhere where random twats won't talk shit about him daily. Pretty few City fans will be worse than rags in 5 years time. Shame, as that is the last thing they should be.
