From the smug, disingenuous AntiUnited to Baka telling us all that Dzeko gets no game time, all following a game we won 6-0 and Dzeko scored twice and got an assist. Thank God it wasn't him who scored the hat trick last night.

I often have to take a moment and remind myself that the player is often poorly represented by his most vocal fans. It's a shame because I really like the player.

Yep. Never forgotten his first statements and his attitude and what I learned about him when he joined (and what I have continued to learn 'cos I'm a closet Edin-lover that seeks out information via Bosnian blogs, news-sources etc.). One of the very, very few footballers I would introduce my daughter(s) to. He brings more to City and his team-mates than what he can do on the pitch. That only goes so far, I get it, but too easily his decent character is dismissed / ignored as utterly irrelevant.

What I particularly enjoyed last night was his willingness to have a pop from distance, and as we have seen more than once, when he does connect, it stays connected.

Whilst I don't agree with every word of that, Edin is a nice guy and it does get lost when you're discussing it on a forum with the people that defend him. You've got to try and seperate your feelings towards Dzeko and your feelings towards the people who post on this thread. One thing that I know a lot of the Bosnians think is that I dislike Edin because I argue with them, that's not the case I actually like Edin and really hope he continues to do as well as he has been recently, when I'm being less than flattering (shall we say) on this forum it's generally directed at the crazy Bosnian posters and the fanboys who think Edin can do no wrong.
