I did praise him though, it's the one line in a positive comment that he takes issue with.

A relevant line at that, pretty sad that some can't see past their prejudices.

Once again for emphasis, it was a great display from Edin tonight.

and it is that type of posters that get's the rest of us labeled as lunatics

agree on the performance completely, just seen the highlights again, cracking strike that for his second goal

Hopefully we can see you post sensibly when things haven't quite gone Edins way as well. Agreed the 1st and 6th goals were special goals tonight.

I had my fair share of "senseless" posts as well but I toned it down a lot, and try to keep a fair view on his performances, I have been posting a lot less recently too because of the shit that was said in his threads, any sensible opinion was drowned in the sea of sh**

He was absolutely integral tonight and looked a genuine top striker. Worked selflessly, tracked back, passed well, had a crack whenever the opportunity arose and deserved his two goals.

Well done Edin.

Great performance from the big fella tonight and a top class finish for his second. So what he missed a few, so did The Beast. Doesn't make any difference if you miss a few and then score as opposed to scoring a couple and then missing a few, as long as they go in within the 90 mins they all count.

Well done Edin.

I told you he will shine if you give him run of the games and if you communicate with him accordingly. Don't take me wrong again (to include Bosnians abroad).

The problem could arise when MP put him on the bench when Kun and Stefan recover from injuries because he thinks he is not bench player. Whatsoever, nice win, great effort from everybody, keep up City.

I have never seen him work harder he ran his tail off he did everything you could have asked of a striker ..he showed his worth and that can only be good for us it will take a nice fee for a club to have him

Big credit to Edin for a top performance tonight. 2 great goals to add to his repetoire. About time we saw him play with a smile on his face. Sometimes things don't go for you but if you give 100 percent and do the right things nobody will criticise. We play lots of games and all our strikers will be needed come the end of the season and all will spend time on the bench (Aguerro less than the others) it's just a fact of life when you're in 4 competitions!

He's contributing on the defensive end too. No way we should let him go anywhere near a fellow title-contender.

His football was excellent tonight, he still doesn't look happy though. Maybe it's his character, but smiling is definitely not a favourite past time of his on the pitch!

All about confidence.
Mancini knocked it out of him and MP has had the luxury of Aguero / Negredo early season.
Well done Edin.

I can see us finishing with 4 players over the 20 goal mark this season ( That includes Yaya of course ).

watching people backtrack is funny. Once again people are eating crows. In dzeko we trust pretty much set up negs goals and scored a brace...
Not quite backtracking. People will pull him up if he has a bad game and give him credit when he has a good game. He was great today, hence the positive comments in this thread. Hopefully he can stay consistent and continue to play well. We'll need him with all these fixtures!

look at the post above :).. im hunting the crybabies that are on a witch hunt.

I don't know where people have been, but without Edin we would never have won the League..

- through thick & thin he puts in his shift and is a player who is firmly grounded; not flashy & not a prima donna.. yet for some reason he seems to come in for an inordinate amount of stick (although on a forum like this you'll always have the swooning Victorian Ladies)

he fulfills an important role in our squad very well; I'm glad we've got him.

I agree with this. Also I like to point out that it looks like he's also been given more instruction into how to fulfill a new role in this system. He's starting to look like a player, not from his early City days but the star from Wolfsburg. The last 2 games he's dropped deeper and has played some of his best games, he's linked up well and as Negredo said post game they are always looking to link up.

Has had a run of decent games. Against Rovers, I think he was our best player. He is an amazing distributor of the ball, especially long passes. Happy for him that he scored two yesterday as well, the last was pure class.

Such a huge difference from last season, not only with Dzeko, but the team as a whole. Everyone's playing with smiles on their faces. Well done Pellegrini!

It's funny but Pellegrini seems to get things out of certain players or sees things in them others don't see. Mancini wasn't like that. He
was a good manager but kind of bullied his players. Pellegrini gets good results from coaching players up, like Dzeko. How he dealt
with the Hart situation and used the media was very smart. His teams are very prepared and it shows.

Daily mail on the Dzeko goals.
it was left to Dzeko to grab the last two goals, the first when Silva picked out overlapping Gael Clichy, whose low cross was turned in at the near post by the Serb. Then Nasri's clever backheel let substitute Aleksander Kolarov cross for Dzeko to crack in an emphatic sixth.
