I still don't know how he missed the tap in. It wasn't even good defending in the first place, just a last ditch challenge that should've been held off with body strength. Dzeko had front position for christ sakes.

That is the best last ditch block by a defender I have ever seen. I felt like you at the game but really it is an amazing block.

His goal scoring touch is not there (for a few weeks now, honestly), BUT - Edin has done that (score) his entire career....so, he'll shrug it off.

What people should really be worried about is Negredo's form, and Negredo-Aguero partnership...that is now two weeks where they together produced FUCK ALL. Now, Aguero is there - he will get his...but boy, is Negredo is in a slump or what?? Dzeko is at least getting in attacking positions/being a threat to score...Negredo is just invisible lately going forward.

Maybe the Beast has hit the "rookie wall" :-) (in EPL, that is)

So it's ok for Dzeko to not have a goalscoring touch for a "few weeks" but it's not if it's Negredo-Aguero for two weeks?

Flawless, unbiased argument.

Negrdo didn't miss four sitters today, and Dzecko's movement didn't set up Navas last week in the final.

Have you ever been to a City match?

Why is that relevant?? I watched almost every single one of them in last several years...and probably have more football knowledge in my little finger than you do in your entire body...so, that "argument" of yours is dumb, but carry on.

Dzeko didnt "miss four sitters" he was mostly unlucky tonight....but one sees what he wants to see. It's easy to join the crowd though, I get that ;-)

Are you actually seriously asking what the difference between watching a striker on TV and watching him from the stands is?

Fuck off. I'm not having it that somebody is that daft, I refuse to believe it.

Why is everybody so hard on the guy? Negredo has been utter poo over the last few games and nobody is actually talking about that. At least Edin looked like he can score and I believe he will soon.

Wow. I take back my criticism.

Third choice Strikers : Goal scoring records for this Season in all competitions.

Scum Danny Wellbeck - 10
Chelsea Demba Ba - 5
Arsenal Bendtner - 3
Mickeys Aspas - 1

Real Madrid Morata - 5
Bayern Pizzarro - 1
Barca Pedro - 17

Dzeko has scored over 50 goals for our club and both of the Managers he has played for have never played to his strengths. He has always played second fiddle and he has always come good in the end by scoring more than his fair share.

He isn't the greatest forward in the world but do you think we could keep a ( dramatically out of form) Negredo happy if we bought Falcao or Cavani or Van Persie or Giroud or Neymar ???

I would have loved it if Mario had stayed and turned into the World's greatest forward but it wasn't to be.

I will settle for Edin being our very own Ole Gunnar Gobshite.
