How is bringing him on in injury time an insult or disrespectful?

He was brought on to get a goal and he almost did.

Because if it was a meaningful attempt to win the game then he should have been on at least 10 minutes earlier. Balotelli didn't show anything all afternoon.

So the substitution wasn't an attempt to get a goal/win the game?

The amount of time given to a player shows intent. 3 minutes is a piss take given how poor Balotelli was today, and taking into consideration Dzeko's run of late.

One back heel to Tevez hardly qualifies as a good game. So yes, Dzeko threatened more in 3 minutes than Mario did in 90.

Dzeko had as many shots on target as Mario so I fail to see how he threatened more.

No hypothetical situation "think what he would have done if he had been given 20 minutes" because he wasn't and you can't predict his performance.

The team on the pitch, prior to Dzeko coming on was good enough to win/get a goal. Then as a last resort he brought Edin on, it's not disrespectful.

That goal was needed much before and it's not like it suddenly became needed in 90th minute. It was extremely stupid way to do that last sub and it's extremely hard to understand what the hell are you trying to say here :)

Hence why Dzeko was brought on. The team prior to his arrival was good enough to get a goal.
