Excellent player and hope he sees out his contract with us and beyond.

I don't,for the simple reason,we could cash in now, while his value is still high, and purchase a replacement that is more suited to our needs and style.

I imagine we could do all of the above while simultaneously saving our selves a few quid in both purchase and contract outlay.

He's done well for us and will be remembered with fondness, however,he's certainly a player we can improve on - we should do so.

" Better replacements " will cost us more with no guarantee it will work out.

He has a couple of full seasons under his belt with us now and is getting closer to his peak form.

Consistent performer for his country as well and doesn't have the baggage that some ego driven strikers bring with them.

Of course there is always someone out there that could replace any of our players and hopefully be an improvement on.

With Tevez likely to head back to Argentina in the summer we would be silly to off load our 3 or our four strikers in such a short time especially ones with premier league experience.

I would suggest his value will be enhanced if we sign him on an extension on his current arrangement.

RVP was in career best form and signed for what we paid for Dzeko and had only one year left on his contract to run and is nearing 30.

Why would you think his value will decrease if he plays on next year Fantasy Ireland?

We all know we need four quality strikers if we are to make a serious fist on the premiership and make inroads in Europe etc.

Dzeko is one of them.

The part in bold is what City fans should really beware of.

With Balotelli already gone, with Tevez thing going either way by the look of things, if Edin was to be sold over the summer - that's a trio of strikers that would NOT be easy to replace....

Not in a real world, at least (in Fifa manager might not be such an issue, but...)

And let's say just theoretically - Real Madrid really, actually try to push for Kun...are you sure he'd be stayin'?

Then City'd be in some trouble...

If I'm City I try to determine ASAP who's leaving between current three, who doesnt want to be here - and make decision based on that.

By the looks of things there might not be any need to sell strikers, if you know what I mean...

I think if we played to Dzeko's strengths he would be an amzing striker in the PL. Look at the amount of goals he got before moving here and also goals at international level.

Hopefully he will stay. I want to see how he gets on next season under a new boss potentially. If Mancini is kept then Edin may as well be sodl because he never gets a fair crack of the whip (playing time or system of play). If a new manager is drafted in I hope Edin stays another year to see how he gets on and hopefully he does well and stays.

In all truth he is on the way to BVB I am sure of it. Lewandowski replacement.

Edin Dzeko pushing Mancini to sign Pjanic...

If this happens it will be a really good thing for the team.

Pjanic is a class for Nasri. I would like him to play in our midfield whether Dzeko stays or leaves. It would be like having another Silva on the pitch, with the difference that Pjanic has great shooting strength and accuracy and is a free kick specialist (Juninho trained him while he was at Lyon). Guardiola already has his eyes on him for a next season in Bayern.

Why do you believe Tevez is likely to head back to Argentina? I was under the impression that Boca can't afford him and he'll see out the remainder of his contract with us.

I actually agree with Fantasyireland for once, we can improve on Dzeko, not in terms of ability but in terms of what suits our style of play better and we won't necessarily have to break the bank to do it either.

Tevez will stay for one more year then go on a free to Boca. What would we/him gain from letting him go in the summer? He gets another year of fantastic money and we get a fantastic player. We would get no more than £10m if we sold him now and it allows the Balo (and Dzeko?) replacement(s) to settle in for a season before we have to think about replacing Tevez.

Win Win for both parties in my opinion

Change the subject to Nasri, wind the clocks back about 2 seasons ago, and it will seem legit.
