Really funny what some of you are saying. After he scores a winner almost securing the second place, he still gets all the shit.

But he's gone. I'm sure after his yesterday's "celebration". And I'm really glad he did it like that. He just said: "STFU your damn kiddies, you don't have a clue about football."

It's perfectly ok to say "I don't like this guy, sell him!". But to say he is rubbish, useless etc. is really a lack of any understanding about the game of football. And after all the slagging he got here, it was ok from him to just reply to it with such a nice goal and an arrogant celebration.

"stfu you supporters who sing my name even when I'm shite"

Fucking ridiculous celebration.

That is the thing these Bosnians don't understand... Dzeko has been very well supported by the match-going fans even through many wank performances. Even when he puts the ball into Row Z the "Edin Dzekooooo" song has started. His "celebration" was a disgraceful way to treat fans who have supported him very well, we don't need such egotistical prima donnas here.

I don't think that was for the fans at all. It was probably something else or maybe shushing to the media. Everything about him points out that is not what that celebration was about. When you really think about it, he was looking for Tevez right after that to celebrate with him. Somehow I don't think egotistical prima donna would do that.

I'm over in 110 and my immediate thought was he pointed to our corner and did it thought it was very suspect

"Jürgen Klpp about Edin Dzeko

Today Jürgen Klopp talked about Edin Dzeko. In an interview on SKY he said: “I do not know about any meeting with Edin Dzeko and this means there hadn’t been a meeting with Edin and Borussia so far. On the other hand we are aware that something will happen with our forward line in the next years. Therefore we even have to think about Edin Dzeko, but his monthly salary doesn’t fit to our club. Of course we don’t pay peanuts, but we wont open our complete cash register for new players salaries.”

Interesting statement. Remarkable that we still remain faithful to our philosophy although we earned so much money this season. If a player wants to come to Dortmund he has to accept the whole package: 80.645 spectators at home matches, fantastic atmosphere, best fans, emotions, true love, a fantastic coach and a first class milieu with a good salary (Guess: 4 to 6 Mio. Euros per year), but not a salary as at Manchester, Bayern, Real or Chelsea. I like that philosophy and the small chance to see Edin at our Westfalenstadion. Maybe he agrees to cut his salary. – Or is it to romantic? Will there be any worldclass player who is interested in such a package?"

Played well in his last 2 games

Everyone assumed Tevez was on his way last season, and he stayed. Maybe Dzeko will too. If he plays like he has in his last 2 games, then there's no issue, but I can't see him ever being happy as a sub. That's the problem City have. Welbeck and players with his limited experience would settle for that but Tevez/Dzeko would not

What you're troubling to comprehend is that 99% of fans which have some basic knowledge of the game (you not included) will rate both Aguero and tevez over Dzeko. Simply presenting factoids of which don't truly reflect the abilities of the said players is your way of satisfying your unorthodox way of thinking. Rickie 'fcukin' Lambert is ahead of all these players on 14 goals, so that must obviously mean...

What some people here dont understand is that ROBERTO RATES DZEKO - and that's all that matters, really...

Witnessed in his most recent interview where he said "Edin deserved to play in the cup final with his recent appearances (not start probably, but get time)" and that he considers Edin "one of the top strikers in Europe"...

This is shared sentiment by many football managers everywhere - who have more football knowledge than me and all of you combined...

All Dzeko naysaying is futile, really...the kid is what he is - great goalscorer with some limitations to his game (like everyone else, pretty much)...and that's really all there is to it.

-- Wed May 08, 2013 9:29 pm --

This thread is retarded

its not the only one m8 lol

Both sides on this thread have turned into a bunch of sado's.

Some are scarily besotted by Dzeko and then there is the odd squad who despise him.

The fact is he's alright, has a shit touch usually, a bit frustrating but scores goals and is a city player. Why are people wasting their own time arguing about him.

Dzeko will probably leave and do well elsewhere, he will always get a clap at City.

That's about it.

Best post in ages, mate.

Sometimes in the future, Wolfsburg scenario will happen at the Etihad (where Dzeko enters the game as a member of the oponent squad, and receives standing ovation).

Cause people aint dumb, and dont forget beautiful things that quickly (i.e. last season).
