Hope we keep him next season to see how he plays post Mancini. Maybe it was Mancini who was the issue.

The system is the issue,

You just can't play Edin in a tiki-taka scene. It just won't happen. He's not suited to it.

Those through balls he played today were outstanding tho. His touch, average, could have been better. For how little he touched the ball he had a pretty massive impact.

Great low shot to the left post for his goal, one great assist, second was average just a tap to Nasri who made the most of it. He should have had two goals if it wasn't for Czech's outstanding reflexes.

mancini drained the energy out of all players not just dzeko.

Leading scorer this season. All he does is score goals. Notts county goal led us to FA Cup title. Blackburn score to our first CL campaign. Equalizer vs QPR led to our title. I hope they don't let him go. He'll probably end up with Bayern or Dortmund and continue scoring goals which we'll surely miss.

If this was his last appearance then I just want to say Thank YOU for everything. You were clutch when we needed it the most. Once blue always blue.

-- Sat May 25, 2013 6:16 pm --

Just to add that the team looks impressive post Mancini.

Played very well in the friendlies, better than he has in many PL games. Same with Nasri, maybe Pellegrini is getting a DVD of these games?

If Dzeko can't play tiki taka he will be sold because that is what we are going to play.

Take nothing away from him it was another good performance and goal but still doesn't take away his weaknesses.

And lol at more Mancini bashing. Move on.

Agree with you 100%, but considering how much Edin has given to the club I hope they sell him somewhere that will allow him to start and have a good club mentality. Dortmund would be a start.

But I don't think he's in City's long term plans.

Bosnian national team is playing tiki taka at the moment with Edin as the leading scorer in all qualifying groups. The difference is that they always look for him as the finishing option #1 and he did prove that he's one of the best at positioning himself in crucial moments.

No, no, no, no, you are misinforming people. The BiH NT does not play tiki-taka. They pass the ball around quite a bit, that's true. But they utilize their width and are very fast on the counter.

The NT has very technical players which allows very precise long balls. Not to mention Misimovic and Edin have one of the best partnerships in Europe from their Wolfsburg days.
