Sorry but he just doesn't haver the ability to do it, if he did when he played either starting or on the bench his first touch wouldn't be so sporadic, his strength on and off the ball wouldn't be so sporadic and countless other things.

I am not slating him, he is a superb goal scorer and I am sure he will be a success at his next next club but he is being sold for a reason and people need to realise what it is.

Played well in the two matches, but are people really going to say that these two friendlies hold more merit than league performances like Everton and Spurs away?

If he wasn't constantly judged solely on his last performance, but rather the bigger picture, then it would be easier to understand the differing opinions.

Nice too see the term "haters" got it's daily run out in this thread though

Personally I'm not too excited about this "holistic approach". I don't think England is a good place to play tiki-taka football. It's one thing to have a goal of producing quality homegrown City players, it's another to raise them to specifically play a certain style of football that we will use for a good amount of years.

Other teams will study film, find our weakness, exploit it over and over again and eventually we will lose 7-0 on aggregate. Let's keep in mind that we don't have a Messi in sky blue.

I truly hope that the FO will procure City it's own identity and not just copy what Barca does because we will be found out quick.

-- Sun May 26, 2013 12:35 am --

Bit confused on your point, would you mind elaborating a bit?

If Dzeko can't play tiki taka he will be sold because that is what we are going to play.

Take nothing away from him it was another good performance and goal but still doesn't take away his weaknesses.

And lol at more Mancini bashing. Move on.

The old adage "one swallow doesn`t make a summer" springs to mind ref Dzeko.

-- Sun May 26, 2013 12:38 am --

One swallow indeed does not make a summer,

But being a top scorer when you are a sub due to a manager who does not like you and scoring 5 goals with 2 assists in 4 games after he is booted is certainly July.
