Pity he didn't stick that away. He's had a very good pre-season (we won't mention his Chris Waddle impersonation with that penalty against Sunderland!).. The new manager could be the making of Edin. Here's hoping.

It's this lack of clinical finishing which is his downfall. In the game last night it had no consequence but imagine not finishing that in the CL?

Negredo appears no better. So we still miss the type of striker who gets one chance a game and finishes it.

Finishing looked pretty clinical against Milan tbf

He fucked that chance up with his touch. Hopefully a couple more weeks of pre-season and he'll be sharper. Regardless, Edin has been very impressive pre-season and could be one hell of an asset for us

Don't think people will ever understand that. That miss was unfortunate, but doesn't say shit about Edin's abilities.

But there are many who are considerably more clinical.

If you discard the midfield players and the odd anomaly you can still see Edin is way down the list. Aguero even further and Negredo even lower. If we want to be the best team in Europe we need a clinical finisher.

His heading ability is good. It's his ball control and clinical finishing with his feet I doubt.
