The lad's a gem. Those of you that can't see this are either the same people that booed Mark Lillis, every time he applauded the Kippax, or they're simple impatient newcomers. CLUELESS!

Close, had he not fluffed his chance.

Can't score them all though.

Shows i was right again - I always said Dzeko was a World Class striker - its just that he was playing for a manager neither he nor I rated and didn't play to his strengths. Now he has a supply route, the difference is chalk and cheese.

I think he'll do well this season also, but let's at least wait until the season starts shall we.

He still misses too many sitters. It wouldn't be too bad if he was a victim of great goalkeeping but a lot of the time it appears he's just fecked it up.
Negredo wasted a few good chances, doesn't mean he's shit. Even Messi and Ronaldo miss opportunities now and again.

Yes I saw negredo missed a few chances as well. I don't think he's world class either. He's not shit just not world class n

Dzekos a good player, he's just not world class. If he's one on one with a few minutes to go when we need a goal I don't trust him to score. Someone like aguero, or RVP I would do. He's too hit and miss. You get great critical goals eg west brom away, spurs at home and then he messes up the simple stuff like Swansea away. That lack of consistency means he will never be world class and will always divide opinion.

-- Thu Aug 01, 2013 9:42 pm --

If you're looking for the missed sitter awards Aguero is a strong front runner.

And tonight Negrado missed a hatfull, scored with the hardest chance...
Gonna be ok this one...

Agreed completely. Hope it doesn't ding his confidence is all, but I trust Pellegrini to keep him firing.

Dzeko took ball by our box, passed it to Nasri and run to Bayern box for a chance. Started and almost finished all by himslef. Too bad he did not score. Also, Dzeko has lot better headers than Negredo.

Edin gets paid a lot of money for those types of shots.

Very difficult shot, but you can see how frustrated he was for not being able to finish properly.

Let's see what he can do when the season starts. For those of you interested, he plays against the USA on August 14th.
