noise said:I think this game underlines our issue with the midfield. Same vs. Newcastle where we were completely ineffective until Silva came on.
If Dzeko started today there would be no end to criticism he would receive.

the midfield created many many many many chances today. the aguero and negredo failed to score.
i won't say anything about dzeko because he came on late in the game.

and actually looked like scoring compared to the all action beast that was hibernating today ( HES STILL A GOOD PLAYER THAT IMO SHOULD START OVER DZEKO STILL EVEN AFTER TONIGHT SO DONT CRY BUT BUT BUT ). But he was shit.
hmm, true. Also I might be wrong, but I think Dzeko scored most away goals last season. Our away performance has been very poor this season.bandwagon said:noise said:I think this game underlines our issue with the midfield. Firstly, Kolarov isn't part of the midfield...bandwagon said:Jumanji said:Haha ok.bandwagon said:the midfield created many many many many chances today. the aguero and negredo failed to score.
how many crosses did kolarov and navas put into the box ?
And so what? They crossed straight to a wall Sunderland players with one City in the box...bandwagon said:Jumanji said:Haha ok.bandwagon said:the midfield created many many many many chances today. the aguero and negredo failed to score.

when a cross comes in, as a striker you must get on the end of it and score.
and kolarov stayed stays in his own half doesn't he. do us all a favor, log off and don't come back.

But enough about the abysmal wide delivery, your point was about midfield support.
EDIT: What Pudge said...
To be fair Navas had 6 assists in Sevilla last season. He's a hard worker and quick as lightning, but his delivery is not very good. Reminds me of Clichy. One commonality on the other hand is Negredo also played in Sevilla.bandwagon said:Jumanji said:And so what? in this type of game where the opposition have parked the bus, the best thing to do is give the ball to wide players so they can cross the ball into the box. 28 crosses were put into the box. where was negredo ? why don't you just admit that he had a bad game ?
