From Dzeko's facebook page:

Edin Džeko
I am very angry about yesterday's headline and article in the Sunday Mirror. It says I confess to being part of a dressing room revolt and that I turned on Mancini.
I did not say these things when I spoke to Bosnian TV - the context is changed in the article. Also some of the my real words have been interpreted badly.

Lost in translation. Amazing how often that happens.

Just like his performances on the pitch, eh?
The Bosnian's see it as a MOTM performance, we see a lazy mardarse, strutting around.

Tbh this whole thread is a bit childish. Grown adults acting like kids. Some getting annoyed with people over praising him but chuckle when someone calls him a lazy idle bastard. Others behaving as if he can do no wrong and not accepting any criticism of him to the point of stupidity. Can't we just accept he does not play in the same way as Aguero and Negredo. He has his own style which also wins us games. Embrace the differences ;)
I just feel he deserves better than he is getting from both sides on here, he got us back into the QPR game and one of my many memories is him running back after his goal screaming to get the ball back. He does care and he is one of us. He deserves some respect and will always have mine. Perhaps both sides should take a deep breath and start afresh.

You could be right pominoz and if some of the posters on this thread do the same then what a wonderful world it would be ;)

That's the point for me, he has it in him to be a great player.

If he can he can rid himself of this "woe is me, i am so hard done by" bullshit, and get to work, he would be twice the player he is now.

Won it for us at Newcastle.

Came on and kept the scoring going against Norwich.

It's not the best time for people to complain about him when he is playing pretty well?

And at the end of the day his record speaks for itself.

My frustration with him is that despite a couple of goals and an assist, he's been incredibly poor in both games. Minimal effort, easily dispossesesed, poor body language, no fight.

That's a really interesting view.

What does it say about a striker that plays 'poorly' yet has the ability to score anyway?

Bit of a dichotomy in the general outlook of this thread.

The other interesting thing is despite the general dislike of Edin Dzeko on this board, the players celebrate his goals WITH him and not away from him like he is an outcast. So, thank goodness, that the players know what's what and not the majority of Clowns on this thread.

Keep it up Edin, the fans will only miss the scoring contribution when you go.

Actually I thought he played well against Norwich although I did have a 'not again' moment when he got the ball off Aguero and then just stood there while Norwich took it off him. He just wandered away slumped shouldered getting a WTF look of Sergio, thankfully he put a shift in after that.
Against Newcastle in the cup as said in the first 90 minutes he was poor but so was everybody else so you won't find me hanging him out to dry for that performance.
