Only because we’ve had the strength in depth in most positions. Had Delph not been able to fit in at LB it wouldn’t have surprised me if we’d brought in an experienced LB on a short term deal.

We’ve got an obvious gap in the striker position at the moment where we know we’ll make moves in the summer. I don’t see the sense in leaving ourselves short for 6 months when someone of dzekos ability is available

I'm not sure he's old enough to want to go to NY next season - he's too good for that. But how about trying him for 18 months at City? (so he fills the striker slot until we can get a long term replacement like Haaland in?)
