EDL

It's all about class war really.

To the middle class, UAF supporter the Asians are mere chips in their high-stakes game of dominance and exploitation of the lower classes.

The UAF are a bunch of cunts and I hope they get their arses kicked in Rochdale by the working class EDL.

The assumption that the Unite against Fasiscm is made up of middle class students is or at least would be laughable if it wasnt for the fact that my and our taxes will be spent policing this protest against the EDL while they try and signify that they are a real force in British politics.
The days of their fathers being allowed to sell their rascist bigoted and hate filled bile in the concourses of Maine Road, Elland Road Stamford Bridge and the like under their previous guise of the National Front) are long gone and the ordinary decent people are no longer willing to listen to the cr@p that they spout.
As an ex-serviceman I have very strong views on the behaviour of a certain element of muslims in OUR country, however I have also seen the battlefields of northern france where too many of my family fell to fight the scourge of fascism and to protect the freedom of expresson that we currently enjoy.

Here's my honest take on it. The EDL seems to be made up of white working class blokes most of whom probably do come from a background that is influenced by immigration, in terms of employment opportunities (blue collar work) and where they live (council estates.) Put simply they know from their own life experience that multiculturalism does not work in their communities.

By contrast very few of your white, middle class, UAF supporters will ever really 'truely' experienced multiculturalism. They only know what it is like living in a white dominated mono-culture with a few people of foreign ethnicity scattered who add positively to the white dominated mono-culture (providing their essential services).

In short, the middle class in this country can afford to live in the most mono-cultural, orderly parts of Britain apart from the multicultural immigrant areas, whereas the working class cannot. The middle class gain financially from the immigrants providing cheap, high quality services that they consume. On the other hand the working class feel like second class citizens in their own country, pay for the costs of a higher crime rate and lose their jobs to the latest wave of cheap immigrants willing to do work for the wealthy classes for next-to-nothing.

In the mean time the middle class ethnic minorities and the middle class whites will align with the UAF against the EDL, become more violent, and continue to call them "nazis" because they have a financial interest in keeping the working classes down.

As i said before - To the UAF supporter the Jew, the black and the Asian are mere chips in their high-stakes game of dominance and exploitation of the working class.

It's a class war - whose side are you on boys - whose side are you on?

It's a shame that the EDL have no interest in the defence of the economic wellbeing of working classes, white or ethnic, your post would make more sense if they did.

yeah, and the answer is aligning yourself with a bunch of reactionary morons who think provocation is the answer. Stop dramatising and romanticising what the EDL do. They're morons who use a particularly emotive and controversial topic to drag people into the way they're thinking.

Answer me this. If the EDL was truly only against the crack pot Muslims who do wave flags saying they want brits to die, sharia law etc. Why on earth do we constantly see them throwing nazi salutes, wearing swastikas.

Also, would you suggest that to show your disapproval at these muslims, the answer is surrounding yourself or joining forces with neo nazis? Do the consequences that may arise from supporting neo nazis just to show you are disgruntled with fanatical muslims justify doing so?

Remember, the Cambridge spies thought the only way to fight fascism was to join forces with the communists. Their actions resonated through the decades and, some say, cumulated with the selling of the secrets of atomic warfare to the russians. I know that I am being a hypocrite here by using a very dramatic example, but you get my point.

Re: your comment on class wars and employment:

To be honest, if this has anything to do with employment then my first reaction is to suggest: "suck it up". The best resolution to unemployment is pro-activity and desire to work. Why blame anyone else? I understand the climate of employment at the moment, believe me, it directly affects me. But immigrants are doing whatever they can to find work. They'll do anything: From standing in night club toilets spraying aftershave to picking potatoes. Can the same be said about every person on the dole? Probably not.

Anyway, perhaps I'm being a bit OTT, don't mean to offend people. But I despise the belief that people have that supporting the EDL can lead to any good.

Flame away...

roaminblue - I live in Middleton not to far from the towns of Oldham and Rochdale both of which have certain areas that show the real definition of multiculturalism - where women are dressed in burkas, where you can walk down the street and not hear anyone speaking English, and where ghettos of self-segregated minorities have formed. My job means that i occasionally have to visit these areas, and they're nothing like the Britain I want to live in. I am racist for saying this?

well, all you stated were observations. Tell me how that makes you feel and I'll tell you whether I think you have racist sentiments.

My view is that its up to the individual what you take from "multiculturalism". I think a knowledge and understanding of different races, cultures and ways of life can make an individual a more enlightened person and erradicate the mystery or fear or weariness of those who are different.

Of course idiots from all walks of life don't accept that way of thinking.

Take places like the deep south in the US. Probably very casually racist on a daily basis due to no real understanding of how, say, American blacks live, act, and interact.

IMHO you are not a rascist, & i feel that most real people will agree with me but there is an element that we would prefer to ignore that will continue to express the [policies f the far right (like our fathers -Grandfathers fought against).
I will stand proud and long in support of my friends and coleagues that we have asked to fight on our behalf,

EDL sympathisers jumping on the Class system to gain more interest.... Pathetic.

EDL, Extremist Muslims, UAF - Fcuk you all :)

I represent myself.

White or black, break in my flat and get your neck snapped
