He didn't say he doesn't want to join City. He had the either/or question thrown at him and hesitated, then said Chelsea but only because of the location, nothing to do with the clubs. He also said he wants to join a club that can offer him trophies.
Trophies? London?

Arsenal it is I suppose..

PSG namedropped.

Obviously a planned media release, pushing us away so that he doesn't move until after his wage prospects are really ramped up by the World Cup.

If chelsea bid along with city he will pick them. thats basically what hes said in a nutshell too.

EDIT: Sure he and Mourinho share same agent too, Mourinho's pal, Jorge Mendes?

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I think we decided against him in January. I think our target is the Roma centre half Mehdi Benatia

Tolmie mentioned we agreed terms with Porto and now Mangala is saying we didn't while he is batting his eyes at Chelsea and PSG. The fact the price mentioned for Fernando went up to €20m as part of a joint deal with Mangala as it was suggested that there was a deal to lower the price but get Porto more money but now these quotes make me smell a rat. I think he or his agent has been tapped up by PSG or Monaco (or even Chelsea in Luiz leaves) hence the Benatia rumours and now a suggested lower price again for Fernando.

Chelsea are gonna end up with a shtton of central defenders next year if they get Mangala too.

Terry, Cahill, Mangala, Zouma, Luiz (Depending on rumors), promising Kalas and Ake if he ever have any intention of breaking through at Chelsea.

transfers in still going to plan then?

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Yeah, there's enough in that quote that I'm ready to move on. Even if you ignore the slight on Manchester, it's a princessy statement to talk about prospective suitors so openly.

To the Benatia thread!
