ELO

Their first few albums did it for me. I heard the first when it was one of the records someone played in the 6th form common room and 10538 Overture is still my favourite song of theirs. Went off them a bit after the Discovery & Out of the Blue LP's but those first three or four albums are still well worth listening to.

Saw them live a few times and they were pretty spectacular.

Alright; it may not be up to the standard of a "in my life" or "yesterday", but to call it shit is a bit harsh. That album was 'herbally' inspired, so you had to expect it to be a bit different.

Good band!! ;-) Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman (adopted blue), Bill Bruford et al. Wondrous stories; one of the best prog rock tracks ever, IMO!!!

Ha! I'm a fan too Jim. I definitely went through a Yes phase and I still put Fragile on the turntable every now and again.

I bet I'm the only one on here who likes The Clash, Yes and ELO.

part of my point really, cause its the beatles its herbally inspired, if black lace would have done it(and it sounds like it could have) it would have been laughed out of town.

dont get me wrong the fab four are up there as one of the best but not everything they did was

How dare you!! The goddess that was (is!) ONJ. I would imagine that there were many horny teenagers like me that fancied her like mad!!!!!! To be fair, the song isn't THAT bad (the film was bloody awful though; one of the worst films ever? Has to be!!).

jim, bt is right, its pretty pants not even onj could save this ditty

but it got to no.1. way back when so who's right and whos wrong??

It was pretty bad it has to be said, but only by their own very high standards. Was more dissapointing to be honest, although ONJ doesn't help with her girlie bland voice.

Liking a band is more to do with accepting their crap than saying they are brilliant WHATEVER all the time.
