Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

The most glorious part of it all is that he is Halli Thorleifsson, he sold his company to Twitter in 2021 and is owned anywhere from $250m to $750m which he was taking in the form of salary over a long contract.

Unless the purchase agreement was written by a literal child, by firing him, Musk has taken a long term liability, and turned it into an immediately payable cashflow disaster that one of his Saudi backers will have to pick up….

Sure he will have to sue to get his money, but no judge even in America is going to deny him money he is contractually owed, especially when Musk is openly stating he was fired due to his disability.

The full amount owed is due to him upon termination, which explains how their spat on twitter started - no one would tell Thorliefsson if he was fired or not.

I wonder if he's made the liable for even more money for the firing being discriminatory.
