If you think this week has done the club any favours your deluded.

We will be seen as no different to any of the 14 clubs involved, even as it seems that us and Chelsea's were reluctant members, the fact is we joined.

Is the smart move not to cover all bases? which we seemingly have, our owners can’t operate with hindsight, yeah the end game could of been a whole lot better (I get giddy thinking about it!) but out of the ashes......

Not quite the answer to my question but I get your drift , however the buggers we "sided" against hate us as well.
I`m just pissed off with the way too many on here and elsewhere are so needy about being included in every fucking decision the club make . They own the club , they fronted the money up which saved us , we had no control of that they owe us fuck all .. a stark reality check for most.
I`m comfortable with that .

It doesn't need Mrs Marple to figure out what's gone on.

If the SL had gone ahead, it would have ruined football.

If the SL had gone ahead without City, it would have ruined City.

Our club made decisions to ensure neither of those things could happen.

And if you've got your knickers in a twist because it makes you feel like we're no better than the Shite, then unfortunately that's a price worth paying.

Maybe they weren't willing to 'go live' without a certain number of clubs involved?

It was what I expected but actions speak louder than words. Some version of ESL was left on the table and it is nailed on there will be another try.

Now if they offered a two division league structure with clearly defined promotion and relegation and no permanent members then I’d listen.

Our owner and Execs have been magnificent without doubt, but no one can be exempt from criticism.

The club and whoever took the decision messed up, end of story, there are no positives to be taken from that decision.

But we have admitted our mistake and backed out, learn from it and move on.

3 Points last night eased the pain, a cup on the sideboard Sunday evening and things will be almost back to normal.

Ceferin's statement about us was to reassure other waverers that UEFA would welcome them back. He is well diposed to us (he opposed the attempts to sanction us) but that's all.

We already are seen differently, and the influence of those clubs that were always against us is diminished.

No way we will ever know how intentional it was, but the fact is we are now seen as more reliable than the old powers.

As you can see I don`t agree with you (we just don`t and never will get the full story so wont / cant criticise ) but I`m not going to fall out with any blue on this matter.
 
He can comeback when he's had a rethink on the platinum con, cup schemes, season tickets increasing year on year, ridiculous matchday prices, people having to give their time up to pick up away tickets at the ground etc etc.

The only positive in all this shitshow is that hopefully their might have been a change in the way that fans are thought about and treated until then it's all empty words!

Ceferin has also said he spoke with 5 clubs on Friday who told him about the SL with a couple not wanting to be involved but were signing up anyway.

He also released his statement within 90 seconds of us releasing ours saying we’re leaving.

It just doesn’t seem plausible that there wasn’t an ongoing dialogue between him and the club the whole way along.

Isn't everybody. Nobody really knows, there is enough speculation out there for it to spun to suit anybodys personal bias. Point is the speculation seems to surround City, nobody else is getting the same lee way in the media.

True, but care must be taken not to add spurious facts (i.e, made up) into the narrative. Speculation, guesswork is fine but nobody should go further.
