Not the worst apology. It came across as sincere imo.They should not apologise for putting the club first. Unfortunate circumstances and it will take a few years for the “trust” to return.

I want to be sure that this does not happen again, and since I have lost confidence in the owners and the board, I hope that the government will impose 50+1 in the Premier League even if this means that the club will lose economic muscle

The intention was to act in the best interests of the club.
They fucked up and lost site of some fundamentally important stuff.
He admitted the club made a monumental mistake. He apologised in a heartfelt way.
