You can still phone up and book them over the phone.

Not according to this, which was put up on the OS just before noon today.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and-Travel/2014/December/City-v-Sheffield-Wednesday-ticket-information" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and- ... nformation</a>

I phones up two hours ago mate to book a ticket. They were going to process it until I said I wanted to activate myself on the cup scheme and they said I would have to do that in the morning. They had no problem booking a ticket though

In which case the TO needs to word its info announcements more clearly.

I completely agree pal. You have got me worried now though.

All those people who can afford the tickets but choose not to attend, without offering them back to the club or selling/passing them on should be ashamed. There's plenty I people who would love to go, but can't get a ticket.
If you can't go, sell them or let them go to someone who would appreciate it.
Tickets for troops is always looking for donations.

They might prefer the view from level 3.

You've not be up level 3 have you.
L3 isnt my favourite to be fair. Also spent a couple of years on L1, bit hard to see the other end of the pitch. L2 is where it is at.

Yep totally agree in terms of view, level 2 is the place to be. But on the two occasions I've ended up getting a ticket in level 2, I fucked off to level 3 for second half for some atmosphere. Not that I am complaing about those who sat around me in silence, that's up to them and atleast they turned up... except their boss who didn't bother.

Like I said earlier, United do this and no one gives a shit:

Hilarious. Tickets for last two home games sold literally out a couple of hours before kick off. If they were that desperate to go they had days, weeks to phone the club and book tickets.

Yes mate I will send my season ticket off to the Army recruiting office. They will send it me back for the next home game wont they?

The burnley game was sold out on Sunday morning? Couldnt they have got a ticket the day before?

Maybe it's a bit easier to find takers for your derby ticket than to something like Burnley? Or maybe, people book leave from work for important games, or book childcare?

It's also amazing that these hordes of families who can't get into the ground took until the morning of the match to sell out the 5k or so available tickets for the Burnley match.

You keep referring to "Hordes" in your emails Moomba. Have you been watching your battle for Middle Earth DVDs over the festive period.

I am not claiming that there are thousands of families being turned away from games by season card "missing". There are enough however to make this a problem that should be overcome!

I'm getting bored of saying this, but you have no evidence whatsoever that so much as a single season card holder was "missing" against Sunderland. Several people have pointed out to you (and others) that the large blocks of seats visible in the North Stand in particular, were unlikely to have come from missing season card holding families, or at least not unless one of the Osmonds married one of the Von Trapps, and all 20 of them bought season cards together.

By the law of averages of course, a few of the empties will have been due to missing season card holders, but I suspect not enough to be a real issue, and the notion that prices would come tumbling down if the 'missing' opted not to renew, is naive in the extreme

I watched the Sunderland game from 305 instead of my usual seat of 206. From there I could see many hundreds of empty seats in Level 1 of the family stand. It is possible that some/ many of these people were on the concourse because of the adverse whether conditions. Anybody suggesting it was a few people missing didn't have a good view.

I was loathed to spell out the sce of the issue but your post has pushed me to do so. There you go!

I enjoyed the bit about the need for shame when not passing my ticket on, on the odd occasion I can't get to a game. It's the same sanctimonious mindset as those people who berated Skeikh Mansour for spending half a billion dollars on City, when the money could have been used to build hospitals and orphanages
