1. they didn't even sell out their lowered allocation
2. did you see their ram-packed stadium of shite today?
No, but I've just checked today's attendances. Surprised they only got 30,000 against Leeds. That's almost a Derby for them, and a grudge match. 30k is a very poor turnout for a game like that.

Was well impressed with City's numbers today, although it was once again very quiet.

How is Sunderland Leeds almost a derby

Come on, it's only 2 hours in the car. In the outback, that would be the distance to your next door neighbour.

I know it sounds daft, but to the north east clubs Leeds is the nearest major club from there, and they see Leeds as a big game , especially middlesboro, cos Sunderland and Newcastle are in the prem.

Newcastle and Sunderland are not remotely interested in Leeds no matter what division they are in

A very thought-provoking article, written by a City fan (not sure if they post on here) which covers this issue and a few others in some style.

It's Lucky Toma from on here and he's dead right about the weird obsession amongst observers to demonise entire fanbases and disregard the shit they have to swallow. But his comments about journalists and pub fans also apply to some members of this forum, as this thread shows.

To solve the issue in my opinion the club must do the following;

- Drop Viagogo and create an in-house system like United & Chelsea have
- Allocate area's in either the East or Colin Bell Stand's third tiers for club employee tickets (Youth Team's, Family etc.) away from the Family Stand, & off TV
- Drop the Family Stand idea all together & introduce a family ticket scheme that can be used all over the stadium with similar prices

Excellent piece - loved the surname-ending-in-a-vowel comment too, brilliant!
