Empty seats.. worsening trend?

To solve the issue in my opinion the club must do the following;

- Drop Viagogo and create an in-house system like United & Chelsea have
- Allocate area's in either the East or Colin Bell Stand's third tiers for club employee tickets (Youth Team's, Family etc.) away from the Family Stand, & off TV
Drop the Family Stand idea all together & introduce a family ticket scheme that can be used all over the stadium with similar prices
Doubt that this would go down well with exsisting s/c holders with families that take their younger ones.

The whole point of the family stand is to generally part familes from our, shall we say...more vocal supporters from say young lads in their twenties like myself that like to go on the piss before, during and after the game pmsl

these empty seats are only going to be there for around ten (at most) of the 19 games we play at home, if marketed correctly there really is no excuse for them not selling even if its at a reduced rate to students, kids or OAPs or maybe a buy three get four deal , city should cut off sales with two days remaining before a game and put up whats left as concession tickets 'get rid', whoever is in charge of this department at city is currently not doing there job that's quite clear to see, the whole system wants revamping with old heads rolling and new ideas being presented, if i was the sheikh and invested the kind of money he has i certainly wouldnt be happy at the sight of 200 empty seats bang right in front of the TV camera in the North Stand

A full row of 20+ empty in front of me in 137 yesterday.least we carnt blame that one on the kids and season card no shows

Although most of the empites are cimpy tickets I was moved today due to the Wednesday fans and ended up in 122. I was surprised to see so many kids in there.

If the club consider the family stand an issue the answer is simple, don't sell kids tickets in other parts of the ground until its full.

People shouldnt be forced to sit in the family stand if they want to bring their kids to a game IMO.

People should remember that the view from the front seats at each end is sometimes the worst in the ground (great for 1 half but rubbish for the other!) and hence why those in the Family Stand don't fill very well. The South Stand away fans don't always know the view until they get in and have no choice but they and the home fans in there stand anyway so improve their view - this doesn't work for the North end because it blocks the view for kids and is frowned on by the stewards (rightly so). Additionally this season, there are no TV screens ahead to see replays like the SS have, so it's a constant head turning exercise to just watch what's going on. When/If the North Stand is expanded, and these screens temporarily disappear, then you'll know what I mean. Therefore moving freebies to 3rd tier is giving them a better seat/view and denying paying fans who might not take up the front seat options - i.e. no solution.

The new TV screens are fantastic. They will be needed for the stadium once the new front rows go in. Fans will be able to get the atmosphere and follow the game without missing any action from anywhere in the ground.

If they consider it an issue they still shouldnt force people to sit in the family stand.
