Attendance Cup top 10 this season. We have the second highest average in the competition behind Arsenal. So not that bad

1 Arsenal FC 1 59.439
2 Manchester City 1 44.309
3 Chelsea FC 1 41.010
4 Southampton FC Southampton FC 1 31.201
5 Sunderland AFC Sunderland AFC 1 30.302
6 Leicester City Leicester City 1 23.212
7 Aston Villa Aston Villa 1 21.837
8 Derby County Derby County 1 20.201
9 Stoke City Stoke City 1 19.423
10 Bolton Wanderers Bolton Wanderers 1 16.788
Do Arsenal get the FA Cup 3rd tie as part of their season ticket? There were no patches of empty seats together, but there were thousands of empty seats dotted throughout the stands as if season ticket holders had not gone.
They do so they'll all be included in the attendance. I'd take that 59,439 with a large pinch of salt as an actual attendance figure.

There was an article on Facebook on 45000 turning up to welcome Torres back to Atletico and some gimp commented that it is more than City get for games, did some research and last season when we won our respective leagues our average attendance was 400 higher. The sad thing was that his comment go 19 likes from brainwashed lemmings.

I take everything the City ticket office announces with a pinch of salt, yet again it was announced that the only availability was single tickets but you are at the game and see rows in the family stand. It has to be said that huge swathes of season ticket holders were absent yesterday around me, probably 50% which proves that there are local City supporters who would go when they are not confronted with the disgusting league match day prices.

I booked two seats on row P and 1 on N in 106 right in front of the other due to not being able to get 3 together. Turned up and the two next to me were vacant.

Wasn’t massively bothered because the seats i got were together, but would of been a bit annoyed if id of had to book singles miles from each other. However, its impossible to stop season ticket holders choosing whether to attend.

The club need to offer a ticket sales/exchange directly through them as i think more people would use rather than using viagogo etc. As we saw yesterday, there are alot of people who will go given the chance and the right price, we just need a simplified system to recycle tickets that wont be used.

I was talking to someone who has good contacts at the club yesterday and he says he will mention it to them. We used to have Points of Blue to do that but they stopped it a while ago.

I think it's about time clubs reported actual attendance as well as tickets sold. The problem with the former is it encourages people to think attendances are healthy when they might not be quite as healthy as they think. Scudamore is always saying that PL clubs are operating at 97.9% capacity and that attendances are therefore better than they've ever been but if could be shown that actual attendances were reducing then it might force clubs into action.

Well done PB! I'm sure the Club could sort out the empties at the front of the North Stand.

I sit on the back row in CB 2, and a couple of seats to my left, there were 5 or 6 vacant seats in a line.

Could be that 5 or 6 people who were on the FA Cup scheme just didn't come to the game. But I'm not sure I would give the pronouncements of the ticket office too much credence.

strange not turning up once you have had the money taken out for the game, takes all sorts i suppose!

The North Stand (Family Stand) always seems to be the worse for it - personally think that should be knocked on the head as kids are sitting all over the Stadium anyway.
I can imagine mainly due to the fact that the kids season tickets are so cheap that for certain games the parents may just decide to skip a game and sell the Adult ticket - won't be losing a lot in not attending a few games a year.

Barcelona had 28K at the match last night.
Getting some shit attendances doesn't stop them being one of the biggest clubs in the world.
And they are expanding the Nou Camp - has anyone told camel gob, and ginger bollocks.
