England v Germany | Nations League | Monday 26th September, 19:45

So Sweden, Denmark, Columbia, Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, Croatia are not considered ‘decent’ then
All pretty average a bit like West Ham to be honest. Germany good based on name but they weren’t a great side then as they aren’t now. Ukraine, Sweden and Colombia were all shite. Croatia were hardly a top side either but beat us anyway as Gareth reverted to type and shit himself once we were in front. A policy he repeated 2 years later when a lucky draw had again put us in with a great chance against an Italy side who were nothing special. As they’ve since gone on to prove by not even qualifying for the world cup.

With English bookies? I can probably see why we are. We have morons betting on us.

Where would you rank a team that’s been in a semi and a final in the last two major tournaments ?

Let’s not forget you watch ZERO football of any other nation and just glued to the doom and gloom England match-day forum when we do play so you’re going to be negatively biased against your own country before we even kick a ball

We’ve shown how far we can go in major tournaments, we have a class bunch of young lads and if Southgate can repeat the cohesion and togetherness he did last tournaments then we’ll go far - but let’s also not forget , it’s a knockout competition and even the best clubs (like City in the Champions League) don’t win it, takes luck aswell as everything else

bring it on I say

I’d suggest that where countries finished last time have almost zero effect on where they finish this time.

That’s because the players and managers will largely be different.

From 2 years ago ?

If anything, our youngsters from then have gained a couple years experience- we have relatively the same team and squad
