I don't think Foden's been that bad, he's no worse than the rest. Sterling has played well but as we know his finishing and at times poor passing lets him down.

Foden could be Messi or Mbappe. He can’t do anything without the ball.

Also, it's a meaningless game. Give some of the second string a go, and see how they perform against decent opposition.

If the boring waistcoat wants to play 3 CB’s and wingbacks, although he cannot defend, the dipper would be better than James i feel as he does posses good crossing/passing.
The front 3 are starved of the ball due to how negative Southgate sets up but should perhaps be winning as Germany look even worse
