In this era of social media and personal self-aggrandizement, I’m not sure anyone can be surprised to see certain players looking for that “glory goal” that gets them recognized.Phil is to good for England. And to many in the England team are selfish, this isn't a team but a group of average individuals
Pep would have a FIELD DAY with this squad and set a few minds straight on who they THINK they are! Most England players have never won a fucking thing in their careers, but think they’re God’s gift…and one or two who have have let it go to their head!
Once again, we head into a tournament with a completely underwhelming sense of success, but will be told repeatedly that “we have to have a tournament mindset,” which means boring can get you through to the knockouts and THEN we will see the best of the team!
Err, OK! Not convinced!
Any INTL manager who elects players based on some individual criteria he has seen from their team play has missed the boat on building a squad he can gel into a team that will play well together!
We have a team half full of players who do one thing for their team and are asked to do another, in a different system, for their country!
Good luck with that, Gareth!
