Yeah I'd imagine there's little chance of us spending £200m+ on them if they aren't both desperately needed and if Rodri's still here it's not desperate.
My guess is Anderson needs to happen quickly or he'll end up elsewhere.
Fernandez we can probably take more time with but if Maresca really pushes for us to sign him then we might need to get that done quickly too, or risk losing him to Real Madrid.
That's the majority of our transfer budget gone before we've even looked at what other areas need strengthening.
Our ability to recover the ball I think has been as issue for the last few years. If we are after both Enzo and Elliot it will increase our ability for recoveries. With Rodri, Enzo and Elliot in centre mid with NOR advancing when in possession, it makes us so much harder to break down. With a midfield like that in comparison to silva and Rodri/Nico it’s probably quite obvious to see how our second half performances have dropped off a cliff since the turn of the year.
You still need to do something with the ball once you've recovered it. A Rodri / Anderson / Enzo midfield is gonna be a right snoozefest.
£100m on Enzo is a far more guarantee than a similar fee on another english had-half-good-season young player . we have been burnt repeatedly in the past and there are other examples - Rodwell, Philips, Mount, Conor Gallagher, Dele Ali, Mainoo…..lots of promising made the england team type lads always emerge and everyone spunks their load and then a couple of years later they aint developed and/or the trapping of fame and fortune go to their heads.
that said, hes a prick and we have consistently attempted to impose a no dickheads policy which has kept the vibes good.
Wouldn't overstate how important this has been to our success either. Also not to be confused with not signing winners. You don't need to be a nasty dickhead to be a winner.

Yes,and I'm fairly confident Rodri stays one more year and the Fernadez stuff is just 2+2 stuff because Maresca is coming.Surely only Enzo and Anderson come in if Rodri goes though?

it`s the plate spinning between Enzo, Rodri and us with this move. Chelsea also want Trafford now and possibly even Gonzalez but it seems he wants to leave for Spain again.

I want to see Nico OR in the middle which means sorting out LB but if we have Guehi, Dias, Khusanov at CB can easily see Gvardiol for back in. Especially given how Nico OR has managed to play in that role.
