In terms of viability, I assume with Frankfurt out of the UCL, Silva easily is, and Felix would depend on what Atletico wants. Are they ready to give up on him? If they are, he would still cost quite a bit, but a deal could be worked out. His,
What’s your thoughts on Andre Silva or Joao Felix. I ask because I don’t see City paying over 100m for Kane or Haaland. Would one of the 2 players I mentioned be a viable alternative?.
I just don’t think Felix is a goal machine like we are looking for. I think there’s a bit of fetish in thinking that if Pep just got his hands on him, he would turn into pure gold. I don’t think it’s that simple
I also think it’s easy to overestimate Silva by just looking at the number of goals he scored THIS season. I’m no fan especially because he is someone I’ve known for a bit, so I’ve seen his lows, even if admittedly he has finally developed into a more reliable striker. Like Kane, he can go missing in some games, and notably big moments, and that has happened even in this season, his best yet. But they have similar qualities and similar physical presence. I wouldn’t criticize the club for picking Silva over Kane if that were the choice, or be shocked at all.
