Erling Haaland

Does anyone else think we'll see Jesus leave if this deal goes through. It's pretty much a clear sign to him that he won't ever really be first choice forward.

No, and I hope not because we need more than one striker and Jesus is a fantastic player to have in the squad. Imagine games with both Jesus and Haaland attacking plus Kev and Sterling and Bernardo running behind them. Defences would be all over the place.

It's rare that Pep plays two strikers and if he plays just the one then the majority of the time it will be Haaland. You don't sign a player for £100m or so with his reputation and leave him on the bench. Jesus won't be happy to being playing second fiddle to a new signing when it's always been his ambition to replace Aguero. He'll want to guarantee his spot as number 9 for Brazil and that's always at risk when he's not playing weekly for city.

Henry-Eto'o-Messi
Villa-Messi-Sanchez

He's no problem playing more than one if they're versatile.

Had a quick check to see if already posted and couldn't find it.

I remember that cup final against Sunderland fondly, Yaya's goal particularly.

His father played for us. Clearly grew up as Blue. Bring the lad home.

The media links to United make me laugh. They conveniently forget that Alf Inge Haaland genuinely hated United (and Keane) and his son was raised as City supporter.

Seen similar arguments for Zinchenko, Stones, Foden and Bernardo in recent years but none of them have seemed to ever want to leave.

I think City must be a very happy camp and it would take a lot for someone to want to move.

That would surely be an issue regardless of who we sign. Cluld be that Isak guy, could be a total u known, could be Aguero for another year, the end result is still the same, Jesus is one of 2 strikers at the club, could play regularly, could paly 'second fiddle'. He is getting games now, don't see why he wouldn't with another striker at the club, whoever that may be.

Plus, he is hardly used as a conventional striker, i could see him playing With Haaland (or whoever eventually comes in), rather than as an 'Or'.

The links with other clubs just provides him with strong negotiating power when it comes to salary etc. I think he has decided.
