Erling Haaland

This is a rich club with the highest of ambitions that recently extended its star coach’s contract by making him promises. We are looking to replace our biggest star. We will pay big and bring in an instant star.
Hope your right mate as we can’t make a mistake on this one .

Can't wait for the haaland v turkey highlights video, or do we only see game's where he scores,
The one eyed love in for haaland is embarrassing,

I'm hoping he is the man who comes in and scores us the goals needed to dominate, but the anger to any post that suggests he isn't or maybe we should sign someone else is fucking cultish.
Some people on this thread need to pull in the hyperbole, maybe he goes to united, chelsea or real Madrid, what then we haven't got a chance for ten years, hopefully we will be good enough with who we bring in to do that anyway, but to suggest if we dont get him then forget about it is way over the top,

His scoring record is brilliant doesn't mean he will do it at city, or improve us, I fully trust pep and the powers that be to get the right man for the team/job,and if that's not haaland then so be it, I won't throw my toys out of the pram.

Now I'm expecting the usual backlash to my post from the usual people, however I won't change my view in that haaland is on the level with a player getting slagged off on here as a donkey( lukaku), haaland my improve, he may not, time will tell.

Mate, I think you're too personally invested in this thread.

Just think we will pull out of any bidding wars for haaland and don’t forget even though we are the richest club in the world we don’t just spend Monopoly money on players . I wish we would just pay it for haaland but don’t think we will .
You are making the mistake of comparing the Aguero replacement to any other signing we’ve ever made. It’s an entirely different beast, and one that will take up the money we haven’t spent when it wasn’t needed. This isn’t saying no to Koulibaly and bringing in Dias. This isn’t Rodri. It’s the star of the show, the most expensive position in football. Whoever it is, we will be breaking our own transfer record

Tell you what I like the lukaku though . He looks like a machine atm . More chance of getting a deal done with inter for him I think .

Lol you got me wrong I don’t fucking want Nunez and I think he is shit but we are not paying what it takes for haakand or even Kane or felix so we will prob go small time which then brings in the likes of Daka inggs and Nunez .
Nobody knows what fee Dortmund will set or what City will be prepared to pay for Haaland. But we can use the Sancho sell on clause as a bargaining tool. City know we need somebody special to fill Kun's boots and with all due respect, Ings and Nunez don't come into that category. Also Ings at 28 doesn't fit our usual strategy of buying a younger player

There will be no auction for haaland this summer and the €180m is just hyperbole of epic proportions! They are in debt, could miss out on champions league and next summer HAVE to sell him for €75m where there will be a shit load of clubs interested! This summer with finances tighter than ever for clubs if we offer €100m and haaland wants out a deal gets done.

Which is only £63 million I think so yes we will break that fee but I will have a sportsman bet with you that we don’t go over £100 million this summer for a striker .

Whether consciously or not, you just said that the 20 year old kid is on the same level as a nearly 28 year old striker with a lot more club experience and World Cup experience too. Do you think he’s peaked at 20? Hehe.

And with that Norway team, you can put peak Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo and they would look like trash. I’m assuming you haven’t seen a Norway game just like you’ve barely seen any Dortmund games.

Found this funny article from 2017: https://www.the42.ie/mbappe-not-worth-120-million-3447180-Jun2017/

“Despite Mbappe scoring 26 goals in all competitions as Monaco dethroned Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semi-finals, countryman Abidal does not agree with the transfer figures being touted.

“Mbappe is a good player, but his price is not £120m,” Abidal told Cadena Ser.

“I still think he wants to stay in Monaco and confirm his level there.”

Sounds familiar? Again: “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.”

I would take that bet. We’re not signing Rodri 2.0.
