Walker isn't seemingly going anywhere, so I would retain Zin, which affords Cancelo as many games as possible on both sides when Pep rotates.

Mendy is only ever moving back to France or Italy, so fear we have done our dough and he will be loaned out until he becomes a free agent.

I would loan him to Leeds. Bielsa was a mentor/father figure to him at Marseilles, if anyone can get him back on track, it's him.

There are only two clubs with stable enough management to offer him the environment he needs to succeed and improve. Bayern M and City.

Do you know anything about LB targets by any chance?

I'm not completely convinced we're going to end up signing one.

It's definitely an area which we can and should improve on, but I personally think Ake getting game time as a LB is the only way we're going keep him happy. Laporte can barely get on the field at the moment, I'm not sure where Ake is going to get any meaningful minutes when he's fit again - and we've seen that Pep was starting to utilise him as a LB before he got injured.

Zinchenko has shown he's more than handy and worth keeping around and Cancelo can do a job there. Throw Ake's situation on top, and I think we're going to find it difficult to add another starting player to the equation. That's without even factoring in Mendy, who's going to be hard to shift.

Can see a number of clubs enter the race for this lad with an array of progressive financial approaches. He's that good. It would be naive to think otherwise

True, but even without the Blue tints,i dont see a better choice than us for the lad.

Its the perfect timing in every respect, his style is also perfect for the Prem,he could, and probably will,be a legend here.

I see this happening.

We`re a team that every season competes in 4 competitions. We`ll need both Laporte and Ake at CB. 4 CBs is a necessity. Just look at Liverpool, went into the season with only 3 CBs, and ended up playing 2 midfielders at CB after a couple months. We`ve been lucky not to have a single injury on Stones and Dias this season, considering how much they`ve played. Cancelo can for sure do a job at LB, but he`s still a RB, and that is by far his best position. Unless Pep still believes in Mendy (which seemingly hasn`t been the case this season) we should absolutely be in for a new LB. Zinchenko is brilliant, but if he gets injured Pep would have to play a makeshift LB, which would just affect the RB or CB position. With approximately 60 games a season, injuries etc. 2 players per position seems like a must. Doesn`t have to be a world class super expensive LB, just someone who could challenge Zinchenko or step in when required

We already have. It will be this summer or not at all, that much has been made clear.

I don't think money is an issue, otherwise we wouldn't be willing to pay such a high premium ahead of his buyout clause the following year.

Let's hope his dad is as influential as we think!

Crazy to think it could be him and Messi at a combined transfer cost of £90m!
And Grealish £150m?

So City wave both Luiz & Sancho money?

2(?) serious injuries hardly make it a bust as such, crap happens. He's got 2 years left on his 6 year contract this Summer and I doubt City would ask much if we could find a club he'd be happy with.
Wages make it impossible to be sold,

Loan fee of maybe £5m with half or 3rd of his wages being paid in Italy

France then lucky to get anything

I don't mate, have heard Lucas Digne name mentioned but only gossip.
We could do far worse than Digne, but he would cost an arm and a leg. Was injured for about 5 weeks over the christmas period too.

Personally, I hope the club is looking at someone younger, like Owen Wijndal. I find him quite similar to Digne, with his overlapping runs and good crosses, but he also goes inside quite often like Cancelo. Directly involved in 15% of AZs goals in the league last season. I’ve watched him a couple times this season. Very good on the ball and in posession, would be a very good fit. The new first choice LB for the national team of Netherlands, and one of AZs best players at 21. One for the future

Fully agreed. Messi is the direct impact on Mahrez...if he comes the writing is on the wall for Mahrez in terms of game time and he'll be motivated to find a move.

For Haaland...I think Sergio is done as a Manchester City player unless something pretty unexpected happens in terms of his form and fitness between now and the end of the season.
I see it the other way, Aguero gets back on the pitch & shows Pep he can do it 1 more year even though he wont play every game next year hes still happy & Messi is here to keep the smile

He then goes off to Argentina or NYC in 2022

I honestly think Gabby will be gone, he needs to play & with Haaland , Messi, Phil, Sterling & Bernardo then I'm afraid hes toast

Mahrez could also feel playing regular at Madrid, PSG or Juve is better than every other week at City

3 Prem titles & League & FA cup trophys then both could take a run & jump

I'm no gambling man but I would say the below will possibly leave

Gabby 60m
Mahrez 60m
Angelino 15m
Harrison 9m
Sancho money 15m
Fernandinio wages 10m year
Aguero wages will half?

Messi free
Haaland 90m Sancho fee waved
Grealish 70m Luiz left alone
