Erling Haaland

I doubt we'll sign Haaland this summer if Dortmund get CL football which makes the decision to basically tell Sergio he won't be needed next season seem a bit hasty. If we decide to wait a year and pay the release clause then surely Aguero would've been a perfect option to have for certain games.
LOL, if someone offers serious cash he is off, Champs league qualification is irrelevant.

My point was not that he'll want to stay if they get CL football, it's that Dortmund will ask for a lot more if they have it which might price us out.

If you were CEO of a business and you could buy an asset now for £150 million or wait a year and miss out on exactly the same asset for £75 million, what would you do?
Equally, and more realistically,if you were a CEO and had an asset you could sell for 150 million this year but only 75 million next year what would you do ? works both ways. No doubt we need a CF with Sergio going.Do you let Chelsea or the rags buy him this year whilst hoping you can buy him on the cheap next year ? Just can not see Dortmund keeping him.

Or if you could buy an asset for 150 million this year and you can likely sell it for a lot more after getting a few years use out of it makes sense to buy now. It's not my money but haaland is worth 150 plus now with rising prices and as he hits his peak 250 million isn't ridiculous in 5 years time.

I personally can't see us treading water without purchasing for twelve months, I believe we would have held of dispensing with Aguero if that was the case. The early announcement of Aguero going, and the way every other team appears to be dropping off, leads me to believe he will be at City probably this summer, if we can negotiate our required price.

I think the decision where Haaland goes is really with him, and although there are other teams out there, I cannot see another who will spend the fee what he'll attract.

Bayern would wait the extra time, and would he want to stay in Germany?

Chelsea have spent a lot on their front line with Havertz and Werner, I think if they buy, it will be someone that will not cost north of 90 mill.

Any club in Spain.................forget it, they are skint.

Make sure we are in the mix and give it a go in signing Haaland is all I can ask; but I still think he will stick around at Dortmund for next season, especially if Dortmund qualify for the Champions League
