If we are not paying the Kane fee We are definitely not buying haaland either . Sorry but we need to look elsewhere .
The one argument I don't fully understand which I've seen touted quite a bit is resale value.
I don't want any City players to have resale value, cause if they're worth a damn, I don't want to sell them. And if theyre not, they'll have little value anyway.
One of the things that has kept City consistently competitive the past decade is we have been able to keep hold of our best players.
Aguero, Kompany, Silva, etc. all could have been sold for profit, but we kept hold of them and they ultimately moved on for frees when the time was right. Kev is an example of another key player who will likely follow the same route.
Whether we get Haaland or Kane or someone else, their potential resale shouldnt be a consideration cause we want them banging in goals in sky blue till the twilight of their careers. Anything else would be a failure imo.
“According to reports” articles are always the pinnacle of poor journalisms![]()

If you believe everything you read, then it might be in your best interests not to read the mediaWhy does bbc football gossip always publish shit about Pep saying we can’t afford a striker, yet just above it they say Chelsea will bid £150m for Haaland.
I fucking hope to god both are just lies.
I just can’t understand how the club can believe we can win the league again if we sit back and accept being outbid for a key position we desperately need to improve, especially after losing Kun.
Reading that gossip page put a right downer on my mood after the jubilation of the England game. Really really fucked off reading we can’t afford a player. Why do the media never say that about rags or Chelsea?
It's a negotiating ploy.If you believe everything you read, then it might be in your best interests not to read the media
I assume you've replied to the wrong post? It's a negotiating ploy.
On the other hand, we mostly refuse to play top-top-top dollar for any player.
We're not going to go ape-shit crazy over Kane or Haaland. We'll pursue negotiations and may bump our price upwards - but our management is disciplined - we will absolutely not overspend.
===
The Kane deal, for me looks iffy because Levy will demand too much.
And Haaland - it's not clear to me that he even wants to join our side except in the even that we offer the highest bid. And that seems to be a big impediment for Pep - if a potential signing is mercenary - willing to sign for the highest bidder whatever the club - then, I think that we're very less inclined to pursue such player.
Haaland - for me - is 100% non-committal - seeking maximum income. I've no objection to this at all. But if my viewpoint is accurate... I think that we're that much less likely to pursue Haaland.

On the other had we did eventually sign Laporte - even though he spurned our earlier advances.
So who knows?
Nope... this is the Haaland thread. Perhaps you are trolling?I assume you've replied to the wrong post?

aguero left us for barca so haaland might be coming to us on that logic??Chelsea on verge of selling Giroud to AC.
Think Haaland is going to them.

Timo Werner and Tabby Abraham say hello.
No way they let Giroud go unless they are going big for Danny Ings It just fits.
