What do Aybameyang, Vardy, Salah and Sterling have in common?

All have outscored Kane in 2 of the last 3 seasons. A few of them had shockers this last season btw.

He is among the best. You are right though, you'd know what you are getting. Personally, I'd happoly go for that unknown.

Liverpool knew what they were getting with premier league proven Andy Carroll. It was the unknown suarez from a weaker league that propelled them up a few levels.

At the end of their lease period (so to speak) they can walk away free, the club can’t sell them without their agreement and their savvy agents ensure that they won’t agree to anything unless they can profit handsomely from it.

I know that’s simplistic, and there are notable exceptions. For instance; Kevin DeBruyne represents himself because he understands that an agent‘s fee is money that the player would receive if he managed his own affairs.
Prior to his last extension, he employed a specialist agency to produce a report that demonstrated his beneficial financial impact for the club.
Armed with the report he told the club what he was worth, he and the club compared their valuations and came to an agreement.
He received the maximum that the club would pay him because he knew his worth, and he pocketed the part of that worth that an agent would have taken.

Sorry about being so long winded, just trying to be clear about why I hold my opinion, but that’s not to say that you need share it.

I presume that you've never once, paid for a Murdoch owned paper (The Sun, The Times or the News of the World for instance) or read any of their contents? And of course never once paid for or watched anything on the Sky platform pre- 2018? Or ever, ever, read Sky News or Sky Sports News online?

Andy Carrol wasn't proven in the PL by any standards. He had played less than 50 games before joining them and his best season was a 11 goal season. He had a total of 14 goals in the PL before his move. Kane has 170 or so. The Suarez transfer was a gem though.

Here we have more bollocks. Must of got bored of the old stuff. For every bad transfer like Carroll (which was awful as everyone knew from the start) you have a Yorke, Cole, Shearer, Van Persie style signing, all proven in the prem and all smashed it at their next clubs. Stop talking out of your arse. If you don’t want him ok we get it, but fuck off with your nonsense

Can you see, there's a world of difference between making a conscious decision to REPRESENT and GET PAID BY, a Murdoch publication and being at any level, a consumer? I do not subscribe to Sky, I do not read any Murdoch titles and I would stick pins in my eyes before I would knowingly contribute a penny to any Murdoch owned enterprise or platform.

The point is there, there is no guarantee, you can get hung up on the example, and we could each find good and bad ones. Aye, and Van Persie the 1 and a quarter season wonder signing. Yeah worth spending 120m to hope for that outcome.
