Don't underestimate the impact of Covid. Both the worry and actually contracting it watching football. The singing section didn't get up for it for the last 2 games which is a disappointment. Someone has to start the singing on these kind of games. Early starts against lesser opposition is always a subdued atmosphere. Around me we join in with "best team in all the world " and "singing the blues" and others if they are the song of the moment, Yaya, fell on his f-ing arse, Bernardo, Ballotelli, he's top of the league etc., but there doesn't seem to be one this year. Even leaving the ground people were quiet yesterday. Just read a report that said 40% of people with tickets are not turning up to gigs at the moment. Old guy next to me hasn't been for a while now, hope he's OK. Is it Covid or the worry? I think it will be different against Leeds, but let's see.
6 mates of mine who went on their coach to Villa have tested positive.. My best mate was admitted to Wythy hospital yesterday and is on the covid ward. He was on the same bus.
...its only gonna get worse.
