“Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?”it's no wonder . 5-1 up after 53 mins and we turn it into a training session. goal difference could be absolutely vital .
i get the preserving energy bit but come on how many of those players at the end will start v RM.
i was bored to tears.

BlessTwo fellas next to me spent 85 minutes slagging off Grealish, moaning in general and didn’t join in one song. And that’s in the south stand standing area. I don’t care if these fuckers have supported City for 50 years, used to do every home and away, spent decades on the Kippax or whatever, we have far too many whingeing old cunts turning up out of habit who have no clue that this is the best football they’ve ever seen or will ever see. We‘d be better off without them and I wish they’d just fuck off.

Sat right behind Pep today and it was a good insight. Basically it was quiet and shit. I’ve given up making excuses, blaming acoustics and song choices and all that stuff. Unless the club grasp the mettle and make some serious changes we have a shit product to sell at the moment. I think that the poor atmosphere is now part of the club culture and is one of the reasons that glory hunting kids are choosing Liverpool and not us.
Unless someone gets hold of this and makes some radical choices then we have a problem in the club DNA. I’d love to advise them on solutions because it is still solvable, but it’s drifting away.
Not long ago we were the club with a shit team but great support. Now we are the opposite. We either bite the bullet or that’s what we are for the future.
There is radical solution but they won’t do it . They need to acknowledge that just like at Wembley or arsenal, the sound which starts up near the roof is the sound which becomes a proper noise.I agree. We need to get the 3,000 fans who go away together but as others have said it's too difficult at the moment. We have the safe standing in the south stand but it's such a mixture of kids, older people, women etcetera that some sing and try and get it going but loads just won't join in. The three tiers in the south stand just don't work as each tier can't hear the other and it's just disorganised. It is what it is and like you I don't see any great improvement on the horizon
Sat right behind Pep today and it was a good insight. Basically it was quiet and shit and it sounds much worse at pitch level than it does in level 3. Good post mateI just think how shit it must be for the players and pep. Leeds under 23 game at elland road last night had a better atmosphere than ours today. Keep reading our ground is no different to any other ground absoulte bollocks no other ground has a team top of the league but we do it should be rocking. What i dont get is fans on here defending it. Do you enjoy sitting in siIence with a miserable face. I said earlier in the year something on here about the atmosphere being shit and got called suspect. I am on here moaning about it because its boring going to watch City these days not because of the football but the atmosphere. Of course the atmosphere makes it 100 times better experience.

Well said Dave, keep posting about it please. The club definitely needs to do something about it because it really is that bad now. The club needs to work something out with the fans to help solve the problem and also speak to the council about public transport problems. Mass exodus every week and if that’s down to public transport then surely there is a solution. I often go in the car with my group and it’s not too bad getting away. Yes we have to sit in traffic but so what.Sat right behind Pep today and it was a good insight. Basically it was quiet and shit and it sounds much worse at pitch level than it does in level 3. Talking about the atmosphere feels like Groundhog Day for me.
It’s not acoustics.
It’s not position of singers.
It’s not the type of song.
It’s not the style of play.
It’s not the KO time.
It’s not the opposition.
It’s not nerves.
It’s not overconfidence.
These are all variables that affect every stadium whether it’s La Bombanera or Craven Cottage.
The difference between our atmosphere being brilliant and awful is down to the monetisation of us fans by the club.
We have had a decade of price rises.
Our match day tickets are extortionate.
We have vast, vast amounts of rarely occupied corporate seats. We have LED advertising boards. Adverts blaring at 150 decibels. The club don’t give a shit about the atmosphere as long as the money keeps flooding in and it shows. Fuck getting a bunch of 17/18/19 year old lads in when you can charge a family £200 + whatever they spend in the club shop and on food/drink.
The issue we have is that the club have rid our stands of the type of person who’s likely to create an atmosphere and replaced them with families/tourists/corporates. In a 55k stadium, we have around 5k fan(atic)s who will sing. The rest are purely spectators.
It’s so short sighted and as you said, it will cost us fans (and subsequently money) in the long run.
Simply put, we can organise singing sections and all sorts of incentives, but there will always be a limit on what we achieve when we’re treated as cash cows rather than supporters.

Yes but the difference is they don’t disappear on mass like we do. We have a very unique fan base. All this success and lovely football yet half of the crowd can’t wait to leave the ground and get back home.If they are choosing Liverpool over us due to a shit atmosphere then what explains the shit atmosphere for Watford’s visit to Anfield two weeks ago?
