Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

I don't understand why you think you were entitled to a ticket if you didn't get a membership when you deferred your season ticket?
You don’t understand why someone who’s had a season ticket for 54 years feels they shouldn’t be excluded to make way for a tourist who’s never been before but paid an extra £35?

Not a huge fan of vlogging football games, however this video really captures the atmosphere last night, she’s made some other good ones at the etihad the past few years

Quite a fair perspective, just one thing I'd pick her up on, she said City only gave Madrid the top tier, that's incorrect, we gave them the full allocation which they couldn't sell, they returned the 1st and 2nd tier which were duly snapped up by blues, only pointing it out coz if it was the other way around, they'd be column inches, radio phone ins, TV specials and marker pens stating how shit our fans are.

We're on the legacy versus fanboy argument again mate ;)

I begrudgingly gave up my ST because of VAR but kept the back door open via the £35 membership knowing that I could still get a ticket at a small discount if I needed a fix.

Not all "Members" are queue jumpers, I can see it from both angles though.

Etihad Stadium - The criticism of Man City's fanbase for a perceived failure to consistently sell-out the Etihad is overblown, but it's true that their stadium lacks the special atmosphere that Maine Road had. Nearly 20 years on from their stadium move, that's a fairly damning fact.

All i can say is how you see the atmosphere at the etihad depends on where you watch the game from.. I watched th Real game from 115, its as lively as ive seen anything this season, a parr with the leeds game and derby game.

The view this guy has on anfield, ive never been to anything special there, well i once went a league cup semi final in 1980, that was very good... I think hell for their team playing for 90 minutes is because they where totally pressed off the ball by a strong determined liverpool team, hate to say it but admired how they pressed, Villareal where shite at passing, didnt get in position, gave the ball away at every 50/50 tackle and didnt look organised.

slightly away from atmosphere, but related to above tickets discussions - how the hell to the ticket touts work nowadays? forward on a ticket email? set up multiple fake memberships? you still see them in their merry bands, selling tickets outside the ground.

The atmosphere against Madrid was really special.

No idea why such a big deal is made about out atmosphere.

Rags atmosphere is terrible these days. Anfield atmosphere is always shit until the entitled fuckers score.

I actually think atmosphere at the smaller grounds is more hostile and intimidating.

I'm just saying you shouldn't have to pay the £35 membership, mate.

No one should.
