Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

Yep. I just prefer an atmosphere to naturally react to the game. Sometimes its quiet sometimes its a bit wild

Having some bell end stood at the front with a loud speaker? Nah
i agree, its better spontaneous & natural singing, its just that half the time we cant manage that.

On a separate note and nothing in relation to what you have posted, fans are to quick to criticize what we dont like rather than pick up on a game and mention what was good. The guy on the loudspeaker last night was a prick, it will never happen at the etihad, we will not use a drum because apparently it will go up somebodies arse sideways.

but fair play to the all round noise at the stadium from sevilla fans, they got behind the team even at 3 nil and waved flags. We hardly do that at the end of the game when winning 3 nil as half the stadium has gone.

I kept an eye on a few games yesterday, cant wait to see dortmund and Copenhagen light up the etihad, the atmosphere and colour at their game last night was better than any FA cup final at wembley.

to get a better atmosphere at our home games ( which to be fair is getting better every season ) we need to pick up on these games rather than pull them apart.

Paid by the drumbeat.

The lad earned about €3000 tonight.
By the drumbeat you say?

Each to their own mate but the drums and the loud halers just arent for me. Im not criticising a fan base for creating noise.

Maybe just some punter at the front conducting would maybe get the other fans going. But we just arent that fan base. We can have the best of atmospheres, spine tingling sometimes. Also like a library. Its just who we are

Drums? Yes … sideways… and dry.

Depends which fans your talking about. In no way were aris/ Atalanta fans weird or unnatural. They reacted as the game went on.

Exactly.

People on here think all Ultras and supporters across Europe are the same. They aren't.

One thing I will say about the Seville fans last night.

Even when they were 3-0 down they carried on singing and support the team. The vast majority stayed until the end as well. They did that against Barcelona.

If City were 0-3 at the Etihad against a European team the fire drill would have started on the 75th minute. By the 85 minute there would have been 10,000's of empty seats and it would have been like a morgue inside the Etihad with no singing and no atmosphere.

If Spurs are infront on Saturday I hope we get behind the team instead of standing there in frustration and in silence like we've done in the past, and like most PL fans do.

As for the CL, I'm looking forward to Dortmund match. Firstly on the pitch as it should be a cracking game. Secondly on the terraces to see and hear the difference in support between the 2 sets of fans.
