Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

We might all have different views on how a better atmosphere is achieved, but one thing is clear as day - everyone on this thread is passionate as fuck about City and I love reading your posts because it's obvious that just about everyone is trying to make a difference, or at the very least cares. We're all blues (not "Cityzens", but that's for another day) who care a fuckload about this club and that gives me a warm fucking fuzzy feeling. We get shat on from all quarters every single day: media nobheads, snidey twats like Carragher, Twitter warriors who've not been anywhere near a football ground in their lives, dickheads from Uefa. Fuck them all. It's the last game for a few weeks. No fucking excuses (it was an early kick off, it was only Brentford, the acoustics are shit....), I hope the ground sings their fucking hearts out for the lads tomorrow. CITY TILL I FUCKING DIE.

I’m going to post this now…. At around 5pm we’ll all take a look on this thread and post about how shit the atmosphere was today.

12:30 KOs are always rubbish at every ground in the country.

Hopefully today you lucky buggers that can go get into the game as you wont see the boys for a about 6 weeks so be loud and proud and sing them to hopefully a great win!

Not always, often the first halves of them are though.

Right!

What’s the BM order of chants this morning?

Note. No Edin Dzeko and clappy, clappy chants.

All together now! We all follow the City over land and sea and Stretford! We all follow the City on to victory!!

Fans were better than the players today . 12.30 KO low key games always shite .

I thought the atmosphere was pretty good today. We’re much better when things aren’t going our way.
It was okay. I noticed a lot around me didn’t get behind the team like we all did last week against Fulham. And there were more early leavers this week.

Circumstances were the same though, 1-1 for a long time second half when we wanted a win. Okay we had a man more this week than we did last but we still needed a win yet loads of people seemed less arsed this week.

There was a lot less singing from the singing sections n’all.

Bloke behind me breaking out into ‘Come on City (x3)’ and when nobody joined in, went on to call the fans around him shit and the atmosphere dwindling. Winds me right up.

Other than that, guy next to me (changes every game) got his phone out to record the winning celebrations. Wanker

We've always sang it but I cringe when we have to sing "Come on City" chant so early in the game. It's passive aggressive and I'm sure the players and Pep know the fans arn't happy.

You should really have twatted him

Can someone let me know the new words to the "follow, follow" song.
The words that I know are about -
"Pep and Arteta, and it keeps getting better".
But I know that those words are now out of date, and have been replaced with words about current players.
And I'm sure that the tune that the words are sung to is " The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin ,which is about a 100 years old,so is well known by virtually everyone.
Thanks.

As a Hearts fan who also follows City I was at the game yesterday (first time in a few years).
I thought the atmosphere was good for an early kick off against one of the less glamorous teams, particularly given the performance/ result.

Nice one pal.
I'll just have to memorize those words now, and try to sing them when we next play a game, probably Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply to my request.
